Triple Qantas points for bookings (Christmas 2015)

I'm assuming given that vouchers start today this offer is targeted?

For those who got it - triple points plus use of voucher could rake in quite a few points for December and January flights...

Looks like everyone's been able to register - so I doubt it's targeted.

I booked several flights late last week so probably missed out on about 10k - 15k of points.

I read that the offer is for a QF domestic flight segment booked during the proper period and flown in the required time frame.

Anyone care to guess if this means that domestic segments of international tickets will fit the criteria?

My wife is beginning to think I should give up wandering

Fred

I think it probably would. I'm thinking the criteria is QF400-1999 type flight numbers (ie: domestic flight numbers) qualify.

depends how they want to play it.

Spot on , why QF would think people would not have flights already booked for this period is beyond me !

That's exactly why they are doing it, get those who are dithering over the line.

I would have much preferred triple status credits! There was a 1.5 sc promo around this time last year if I recall.

Same here. If there was a triple status credits offer I would definitely consider trying for Platinum, but I think the best we can hope for is a double SC promo at some point next year.

Should get off Bronze finally and up to Gold for the first time this year anyway.

My flights for December and January have been locked in for months. Last minute flights for December and January are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Good luck to those that can make use of the promotion.

Be nice if it was for existing bookings ...
That would be a nice fairytale....

Gosh darn it! I booked flights for that period but didn't know about this!!! Suppose it pays to snoop around the member specials now and then

If you booked after the registration period and register now it may still not be too late.

I got the email, clicked on the link, then booked on 2nd and flew on the 3rd of Dec. No triple points so far, any idea when they get credited? Or am I too impatient? :)

Qantas crediting Bonus Points within 1 week?! Good joke! LOL. As per the T&Cs, wait up to 6 weeks:
Bonus Qantas Points may take up to 6 weeks after completion of your travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account

yeah, OK, I'm impatient, sue me :)

And thanks for pointing out the T&Cs :)

Strange.
Usually about 2 days after my QF flights, the FF points and SCs are already there waiting for me to gloat over.

Flew 1st segment, registered then flew 2nd segment already. Why do they make you register for these things?? Why not just give it out? Or are they just checking to see if I'm awake? (Clearly not) oh well, was minimum points anyway.

That would be too easy now, wouldn't it? ;)
