Troubles in Noumea

Looks very nice. The same questions would apply - how is Le Lagon functioning and looking after guests?
I thought toowongman said they were putting a few things our car breakfast but then guests were on there own after and no servicing of rooms etc as staff were either stuck there or couldn’t get in. Pool etc was still available I think. But things may have improved with more services available now.

The cleaner came around yesterday, no linen or anything but she offered to mop the floors, etc.

I've previously mentioned the rest.

The food supply chain is ramping up again, the convenience stores here can feed you if you're not picky, and the bakery is still open now knocking out baguettes.

The hotel offered a breakfast this morning:

There was a group of plain-clothes police in our foyer earlier today waiting for their ride to dole out some Justice. I have to hand it to the French, their policewomen are just ... model material. They could kill with one signature look.

Any idea what airport the evacuation flights will use?

Magenta would seem the logical choice if it's suitable.

How many people can you fit in a 130J-30?
Air Force website says only 124 pax.

Would think a lot more than 250 Aussies in Noumea. So might need a few more trips.

News outlets have been saying 'around 300' in or around Noumea... not sure about more broadly. Might need to run them both out again.

Now wondering... Do they take all the luggage etc on them as well, or do you just bring essentials and that's left for later?

Cheers,
Matt.
