Ah, the old Acronym WithOut a Legend![]()
The Tumi Lightweight International Carry-on Alpha has a combined linear measurement of 108cm (52.5cm x 34.5cm x 21cm (HxWxD)) which is over the carry-on baggage for both QF and DJ. I'm pretty sure that it would fail the sizer.
It certainly fails DJ's maximums: 1 piece not exceeding dimensions of 23 cm in depth, 34 cm in height and 48 cm in length, (total linear dimensions equal to 105cm).
Finally it claims to be lightweight but the website gives no actual weight!!
Obviously Dash 8s and Fokkers are out, but everything else should be fine. Not really concerned about DJ as I doubt I'll be flying them for some time, and can improvise if I'm forced to. But as you noted, the main issue is the weight.Australian Domestic

I have the 20in and can't fault it. I am not sure how much lighter the lighter version would be. I don't use the shirt/suit carrier insert or the hanger though...
