Binged Succession over the past few weeks and wow....amazing show.
Very rich, well connected family business operating a media conglomerate and their family dynamic is such an amazing watch.

The emotion in the characters and their development over the series is something I haven't seen in a tv show before.

Season 4 comes out in a few months.
March I think. We are watching Fauda on Netflix. Given we are going to Israel and into Palestine for Bethlehem it's a bit of a background 😳. And watching Madoff as well. Incredulous as to the extent the US Financial Services regulators completely failed their people.

Girlfirends have been saying how great Yellowstone is.

I am watching ep 8 series 4 of Fauda as I text
I have palpitations !! Amazing how the Doron character actually was in Mossad and wrote scripts.
I loved my visit to Israel
Madoff was one of many when the US regs were asleep at the wheel

I finally finished Fauda last week. What a marathon! Doron was in Mossad before he was an actor, really.
I'll message you with a story with similarities.

Doron was Mossad! He reminds us of George Colombaris Master Chef. 🤭😂

Loved the last series in Tuscany. Some of our favourite places including lunch at Il Chiostro di Pienza. Spent two NYE there in the past.

All their "on location" filming outside of NYC are amazing...as you would expect for their wealth.

I'm enjoying watching Last King of the Cross. Similarities to the 3rd season of Underbelly: The Golden Mile, but still good to watch.

Have just started watching (errr... see what I did there?) The Watcher on Netflix, too.

Mandalorian has been very hit and miss this season, a lot of threads to tie together in this weeks finale.

Watched first half of Marvelous Mrs Maisel season 5 (last seson) over the weekend, one of the best Prime originals. Then watched Wellmania on Netflix, it was entertaining enough whilst I did my chores. Nice to see an Aussie comedy that wasnt cringing with bogans.

Am also watching Grease prequel Rise of the Pink Ladies on Paramount +, it has been copping a lot of flack but I dont mind it. No stand out songs, but nice nostalgia and backstory.

Finally got rid of Foxtel....
The hapless Foxtel guy tried very hard to entice me with discounts...
Ha! We were on Foxtel for years… i can’t remember how many… 10? Anyway we were on one of the original pricing plans of $36 a month or something which included everything except sport. Over the years they kept adding content and channels which they had to give to us for free! (except for sport)

When we called them to cancel they said ‘great! thanks! bye!’ (we actually saved a lot of money by switching, so it did us a favour)

We are contemplating whether or not to keep Foxtel. We've been customers for over 20 years but our monthly payment ended up just over $100 which was ridiculous compared to $10 a month for some of the streaming services. I spoke to Foxtel on live chat a few weeks ago and the best they could offer was $94 per month and that was without sport, which we are currently getting for free. We have to make a decision soon as the cable network is closing down and we're going to be forced onto foxtel via our internet connection and will be losing the free to air channels. It will also cost us more in data per month. The foxtel box we have at the moment is the one that Sam Neill calls a "dinosaur" on his ads for Foxtel IQ5 or whatever the number they are up to.

I think it's going to need a phonecall and a request to speak to a supervisor in order to get the best price possible per month. We need compensation for the extra cost involved and the time and cost of setting up a separate way to get free to air channels and the internet feed to our tv.

The person on live chat tried to sell us lots of stuff but not the stuff we wanted.

Some of the shows I want on Foxtel are ending by June so there isn't much new stuff I will miss out on. I have lots of other streaming services so I can get most of what I want in the way of tv shows and movies from them. I don't have Netflix however.

ah the old foxtel dance. Not sure if you have but just call them and ask to speak to disconnections as you are looking to cancel for XYZ reason. They will then haggle and provide you with better deals. Not sure if you are aware but there is a active thread of the Whirlpool forums on this exact 'dance'.
Good luck!

Netflix
Rough Diamonds - Antwerp based thriller about an outcast who comes back to the Hassidic family of diamobd merchants after brothers death and what a mess it all is. Great for the sights too of this wonderful city which I love

Re foxtel - get rid of it- i conviced them on chat that they gave me so much hassle over the years they can leave the box and forgo the charge

Then I installed Binge app for almost tenth of the price and I find the best of foxtel is there (also live programs)

You can have pretty much every other streaming service going (Prime + Netflix + Stan + Paramount + Disney + Kayo) for less than the cost of Foxtel and no adverts. Too many foxtel channels have ads.

I am absolutely loving the final season of Marvelous Mrs Maisel - steller all round. Will be sad to see it end, but hopeful they will wrap it up nicely.

I made the mistake of paying yearly for a few subscription streaming services eg Disney+ and Viki. Nope I pay for a couple of months for one , cancel and move onto another . The only one I keep going forward is Netflix
Martine I saw the ad for that Rough Diamonds, certainly looked interesting
