Bay of Fires just goes to show what small towns in Tasmania are really like!I was curious about Bay of Fires after reading the comments hear so I watched the first 4 episodes. I'm looking forward to catching up with the rest of the episodes soon. I hope at least some of the secrets come out in the last episode.

I enjoyed it and it was a good effort I suggest. The series had great potential and the plot read well but apart from a few gems, it kinda fell flat IMHO.
Don't watch the 2nd season then, far more violent!Bay of Fires had it’s moments, I did enjoy it and in particular the soundtrack, haven’t heard The Captain Matchbox Band for along like time.
Kin, not so much, bit too violent for us.
Trying to catch up on Kin, up to ep.5 . The violence isn't a problem but the sound is and combined with the accents has me rewinding every now and then. Maybe I need to invest in a sound bar for the TV.Bay of Fires had it’s moments, I did enjoy it and in particular the soundtrack, haven’t heard The Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band for a long time.

Geez, I have to proff read stuff before I hit enter….

Oh, that's what I forgot to mention ... there are no subtitles available.or subtitles!
Anyone with a modern TV and just using the inbuilt speakers is committing a federal crime and should turn themselves in immediately!Trying to catch up on Kin, up to ep.5 . I am waiting for the new soundbar that Yamaha are releasing this month.Anyone with a modern TV and just using the inbuilt speakers is committing a federal crime and should turn themselves in immediately!
After over a decade hiatus from having a proper AV setup (and using a soundbar as a temporary stopgap.... that didn't end up being so temporary!) I'm starting to build out my AV again. Heck, even the set of Q Acoustics bookshelf speakers I have setup in my office put the soundbar to shame!I am waiting for the new soundbar that Yamaha are releasing this month.

You are fortunate living in the UK, the cradle of good audio design. I'd need to sell my first born to afford an Arcam. After over a decade hiatus from having a proper AV setup (and using a soundbar as a temporary stopgap.... that didn't end up being so temporary!) I'm looking at Arcam for the receiver and undecided re: tower vs bookshelf on stands for the front speakers. The Kef LS50's look/sound good.
I didn't think they were that pricey, so based on that I would suggest that in Aus they'd cost a fair bit more then. You are fortunate living in the UK, the cradle of good audio design. I'd need to sell my first born to afford an Arcam.

That is one that was on my shortlist - about $1k cheaper in the UK:
I finished the rest of Bay of Fires. I thought enough secrets came out in order to satisfy me. There were enough threads left open to allow further episodes if funded but the resolution seemed a good place to end the story if they don't get more episodes.Bay of Fires just goes to show what small towns in Tasmania are really like!
