TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Who has forgotten littlefinger? Sansa has made a pact with the devil. Just waiting to find out the payback, the preview suggests he fancies himself as king of the north. Wonder if Bran and that undead uncle would have better claims than Sansa's hubby.

Then again Danerys could line up a good number of Queens between Dorne, Sansa and the iron islands.

If Bran cannot produce an heir, he would be ineligible.

Benjen had joined the Nightswatch, so also ineligible.

Sansa as a trueborn and last known living Stark would seem to have priority over Jon as Ned's cough (as he still believes he is). Hard to imagine Jon challenging Sansa's claim either.

Who has forgotten littlefinger?

Not forgotten as a character but he's not seen as being as bad as others because he's not in the Ramsey/Joffrey mode. However he betrayed Ned Stark so is always the enemy. Do the Starks know of his betrayal though?

You leave the nightswatch when you die. Benjen is undead, he had a stone inserting into his heart.
Littlefinger married to Sansa. Jon can't challenge that, just wondering who might be able to challenge her, and by extension any husband.

He certainly hasn't been forgotten as evil from my point of view. SWMBO refers to him as looking like a dirty paedo. Certainly hope Sansa has learnt from her experiences.

Sansa should be able to put together a few pieces in the betrayal of the father.

Littlefinger if he is found out, it is probably because of either Bran seeing the past, Arya detecting his lies or Vary's exposing his betrayal. The Lannister's are complicit in Ned’s death and have no interest revealing their betrayal.

But Sansa was there for the events. She knows that Ned when off to remove Joffey with the city watch and then he had his head cut off. It shouldn't take Einstein to realise the someone turned on him. The Lannister's don't really have much option, everyone knows they cut off his head.

Yes but Sansa has finally learnt the Game of Thrones and is now levering Littlefinger to do her bidding. It remains a question of who can outsmart who?

That's my hope. But it is an open question...

Also part of the reason I think she must realise his betrayal of her father.

Regarding the nature of Littlefinger and other villains I read this in The Guardian this morning:

Who’s left? Walder Frey, a man who is petty and ineffectual without Lannister backing? Theon and Yara Greyjoy’s uncle, whose name we’ve barely even learnt? Ellaria, over in Dorne, who murdered the king then vanished from our screens? Littlefinger – but is he even a villain? Six seasons in and we’re still not sure. Now that Sansa Stark and Jon Snow are in his debt, we might finally find out what he hoped to achieve by marrying her off to Ramsay and taking over the Eyrie.

So some people are ambivalent about LF (not me!)

I'm trying to remember if littlefinger has ever expressed an interest in the throne. I thought the topic came up when he betrayal Eddard, but I can't remember if he expressed an interest in being the king maker or in taking the throne. I think probably the later.

Eddard's betrayal prevents the true heir from getting the throne. Killed off Joffey - reducing Lannister heirs. Not sure about marrying off Sansa but taking the Eyrie positions him to rescue the Starks. Perhaps also claim some credit for strengthening the north against the white walkers, but at least to get them to support his claim on the throne once the Lannisters heirs are gone. Did he have a hand in creating the Sparrow?

Seth Meyers and Leslie Jones watching the last episode of GoT.

That's a welcome distraction. I was thinking about splitting the GoT discussion into a separate thread. :)

Nooooh. Only 1 more episode to go. Give that 1 week and we will be done!

What I am really enjoying on Netflix is rewatching House! With my own current health stuff I am diagnosing patients before they do! Dunno why it takes them 45 minutes to figure out

Not GOT but have been watching Series 1 of Peaky Blinders on Netflix - fantastic - can't believe I missed it when it was screened on free to air.

Yeah, watched that to on foxtel. Debating series linking the next season.

Watched Mr Bean in a french detective show today - they are promising more. Also watched the first episode of Overcover - that looks pretty interesting.

Do you mean Maigret? From Mr Bean to Monsieur Maigret: Rowan Atkinson ditched the slapstick to play the French detective in his first major TV role for 20 years | Daily Mail Online

In which case it is not a Mr Bean show, but a new character played by Rowan Atkinson.

What platform did you watch it on? (Please say Netflix). :)

I have been meaning to watch Peaky Blinders.

Also I am interested in Broadchurch but don't know if I should watch the UK version or the US version or both.

I was thinking of watching the Flash, Arrow but then would require watching Supergirl and Legends of tomorrow because of all the crossover episodes.

I watched the Flash for a bit then gave it away. Same for LoT. I watched the Supergirl episode with the Flash and I don't think I missed anything by not having seen recent episodes of the Flash.

Broadchurch - watch the UK version. David Tennant was great. As was Olivia Colman.

I have been watching Chef's Table (a netflix production). Quite enjoyable if you are a foodie.
