TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

I have just watched The Banana Splits Tralala Terror.

An excellent example of putting the 'B' in B-grade movie. It was actually well done - in a B-grade movie sort of way. Lots of blood and guts.

Anyone else watched Good Omens with David Tennant in it ?
An Amazon prime show
Thoroughly enjoyed these 6 episodes
Taken from the book by Terry Pratchett with Neil Gaiman overseeing the tv show

I haven't watched it but I think I would really like it. I've been seeing lots of images and fan art on tumblr about the series plus I've also read discussions with Neil Gaiman about his creations. I'm mostly taking notice of it due to my interest in David Tennant and Neil Gaiman. I've never actually read Neil's books but I've watched the Doctor Who episodes he's written. Good Omens is a fascinating story.

Currently watching Trapped on SBS Demand. 10 part murder mystery set in a small fishing town in Iceland (recommended by a AFFer).

Had to tell hubby to turn up the volume so I could read the sub titles 🤔
We are on the lookout for good series to watch once the AFL footy and Ashes Cricket is done and the awful Spring Racing period and some horrible free to air shows are kicking in. The one I am most sick of hearing about is the one where singers are put into a costume. Seriously, who gives a damn who is wearing a horse!

Yes, when it first came out, really enjoyed it.

Yes really enjoyed it. Very good, dark humour. You can tell has come from the mind of Terry Pratchett. The idea someone could misplace the anti-Christ and hold up the end of world...

I would say that Good Omens was one of the best adaptions of Terry Pratchett's books, however if you are not a Pratchett fan and don't appreciate his humour then of course you wont enjoy it.

Humour is very subjective, the mini-series was in parts line for line from the book. Good Omens wont find a favourable audience with people who take religion seriously.

What a let down. Australia's Got Talent just finished its season with an announcement of the winning act. They announced it and then ... just finished. o_O

We need a really good series to take us through the non Footy period so we don’t see anything to do with horses. We like Political thrillers, crime but not the totally gory type but where there is clever investigations. The usual drama. We also loved Billions on Stan. Not into fantasy (except GoT for me); nor noir types. Never got into the Tattoo franchise.

Oh my lord, we are currently two episodes into What If with Renee Zellweiger. It’s like a train wreck but we seem to be unable to stop watching it. The sex scenes are a bit out there and not the usual kind.

Pushka I notice Netflix released "The Criminal" over the weekend (several version UK and a few european ones) - not sure if that will fit the bill? I've also been meaning to get back to Killing Eve, but have been revisiting some sci fi on Amazon Prime.

Utopia on ABC is done so well. Really enjoyed every season
This season has been hilarious. The ID card etc.
I keep thinking "people overseas would even love this" but so many examples are real life projects or stuff ups in Aus, eg the Dr Expert and Dr Karl.
