TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Am new to this thread, so maybe covered, but how many series actually portray something almost like reality? Not very many, IMHO. Ones that do, Hill Street Blues,The Bill (earlier episodes), Fauda, and Narcos.

Finished Slow Horses last night and already hanging out for the next season! Unsure what's next on my playlist, but I'm sure there are plenty of things on my watchlist that I'm yet to get around to watching.
On? sorry, you gotta spoon feed me.

I just watched Plane on Netflix.

Pull Up! Terrain! Pull Up! Terrain!

Avoid this film like the plague. Anyone with a modicum of flying knowledge will find it laughable. For example, when the plane hits turbulence the captain goes back to check on the passengers.

You have been warned.

I disagree :)

Yes, it is far-fetched/non-sensical. A jet lands on a dirt road on an island, and later manages to also takeoff from this? Clearly ridiculous.

But as much as I am sick of the main actor (Gerard Butler) I thought it was Ok as a light action time-filler....

Maybe it’s an action/thriller in the same sense as Schwarzenegger’s Commando was an action/thriller? That is to say that it’s actually a comedy ;)

Binged all of Fisk (ABC iView) so I'm now up to date. Great show!!

Started watching The Jury: Death on the Staircase (SBS OnDemand). Interesting viewing, but slightly more "reality TV" than I was expecting. Will persist as I'm otherwise invested in the case.

Have also started watching Tokyo Vice (SBS OnDemand) and am really enjoying it so far.

Tokyo vice is very good.

I had lunch with my parents today and they are both enjoying the new Matlock (on Paramount + / Channel 10). Dad said Kathy Bates has impeccable comedic timing and its a nice bit of escapism with a little twist at the end of each episode. I will likely check it out this weekend.

Meanwhile having finished all 3 seasons of the Lincoln Lawyer and learning that Micky Holler is the half brother of Harry Bosch, I decided I should finally watch Bosch and am currently halfway through season 2. Bosch is much darker, more film noir than Lincoln Lawyer which is more LA Law.

Agree
And there is no better actor to play Bosch either than Titus Welliver. That pain that man has experienced in real life embodies Harry Bosch.

Love love LOVE the Bosch series (along with the new Bosch Legacy series)!!! Michael Connelly's novels are great reading as well. The TV show was my gateway into the novels.

He is brilliant in the role! And I seem to recall saying this earlier on within this particular thread, but young Harry Bosch is also a treat ;) @Lynda2475, you'll understand what I mean when you get there.
