Two Double SC offers in one year

Last time I followed up on one of these I got DSCs for prior bookings as well. Not sure if they have tightened up on that.

I think they have.

Another issue to be aware of is if you use gift vouchers. The booking is shown as the day the voucher was purchased rather than redeemed. This means you have to call Qantas and get them to manually credit the DSCs. A real nuisance and potential for them to be forgotten if not required for status.

Hi not sure if this is the right place but based on the offer of SC X 2 is paying $3.92 (for domestic travel only) a SC good value ( the trip below is actually $3.24 per SC) as I was compted SG and now till the end of the year I have a fair amount of travel for work and I am starting from a 0 base of SC and can make WP before Christmas. Fortunatley living on the Gold Coast we have a price war on so that has made J class affordable as well. We are getting OOL SYD ADL SYD ADL OOL for around $1298 rtn and from BNE it is that one way. Its 400 SC return for the one trip with SC X 2 ex OOL and its 240SC return for the trip with SC X 2 ex BNE and double the price.

Only one lot of double SC's earlier this year, the month after my membership year started again, didn't have enough time or money to make use of it oh well doesn't matter I still managed to retain silver again without it and have enough forward bookings to get me to Gold in 1 months time for the 1st time

I have no forward booking with QF and have only done a couple of SYD-MEL-SYD since Jul this year.. I re-qualified for WP in first 6 weeks of my membership year (1 Apr)..

It seems that QF has forgotten me with this promo.. as I could have aimed for PG or even P1 if I had recieved this... Oh Well..!!!

I couldn't help myself too. I booked a J flight from Melbourne to Darwin (via Brisbane) whilst they were on special too. $939 each way (so $1878 total) for 560 SC which works out at $3.35 per SC. This route in Y flexi-saver is only $410 each way for 140SC each way. That is $2.92 per SC. Bargain.

Also just booked a Perth to Cairns (via Sydney) return flight with a Y flexi-saver for $1134 return giving 320 SC @ $3.54 per SC.

I can see there is also a flexi-saver from Melbourne to Gold coast (via Sydney) for $219 currently (that's so cheap) for 80 credits each way. That works out at $2.75 per credit. That is nudging the AA YUPP fares in the US. All I need to do is find an excuse to go to the Gold Coast now.

quick question for those in the know.....after you have clicked the register link are you meant to get any kind of confirmation email?.....or we just assume that it has registered ok and go ahead and book?..........

Got mine and first for the year , 2 weeks before I drop back to NB , too late unfortunately to salvage me as an ongoing QF Flyer . Will focus on maintaining DJ Gold ongoing with my current reduced capacity to fly.

Has anyone received their double sc's as yet? I booked a flight on the 18th of October for a SYD-CBR sector on the 21st. I still haven't received additonal SC's as yet.

Just grabbed a VERY sweetly-priced JASA PER-SYD-CBR-MEL-PER in November - and at pleasant times of the day to travel . Looking forward to the extra-sweet 480 SCs and PartnerJohnM is now guaranteed PG for yet another year .

I received that one today as well. I have been holding off booking a bunch of domestic flights in the hope I may get an double SC offer, and then I finally do and it is Intl only. AArgh!

Going to call and see if they will convert it to a domestic offer, but hold little hope...

Same here - sconf DSC offer in less than a week - the travel dats - Mid Jam to March - are outside the travel dates of the first offer though...

Its raining DSCs!

Pity the dates/destinations on this one don't work for me.

I (SG) just got the DSC intl today. very happy now to sort out a JASA..... or two..... or three maybe a YASA to some places on the way

It is irrelevant who made the booking. It is the person flying that receives the SCs. So you will get double SCs if booked in qualifying period.
