What a wonderful trip you had and you have captured it perfectly on your great trip report.

A big thank you to everyone who has followed along, your wonderful comments, support and advice. It truly has made the trip even more special.

There were a number of times when the thought of updating this report got a bit too much and I was thinking why did I start this, however I am glad that I persevered.

Well done on taking on the TR and persevering.

I don't have the inclination to do my TRs while on the road. In any event, a lot of my trips have been to places often devoid of, or with fragmentary, internet access which makes continuity problematic. - and I never seem to have the time while travelling.

I make do with supplementary posts of particular things while on the road to the 'View from my office' thread.

I always do my TRs in a Word document, primarily as my own permanent record of a trip and to share particularly with PJM, but possibly family or friends.

Posting them to AFF is a secondary aspect that easily comes from that.

Thank you for the TR @Scash. I discovered your report late and have been slowly catching up over the past couple of weeks; although you made it home before I caught up! I've enjoyed your comments and photos immensely. Having done a couple of TRs I know how much time and effort you have put into this, so thank you very much.

A question if i may: did you book a tour for the catacombs in Paris, if so who with, and would you recommend them?

No we didn't do a tour and just did self guided with audio (pretty certain we booked direct on the catacombs website The Paris Catacombs | Catacombes de Paris.). However we did book a number of other tours in various places through Get Your Guide and didn't have any issues with them.
