Qantas link flights you can't book your seat. Or i couldn't anyway. I am a gold member. What was funny when plane took off. No one was sitting in 1a or 1b. May be I upset her one other time. I reckon it was more the attitude I got that gave me the ****

The seat selection page says available on all domestic flights:

One can generally not pre-select a seat on Qantas Link flight until OLCI.

2. Eligible Passengers
Advance Seat Selection is available only on domestic and international Qantas operated services with a QF flight number between QF 1-QF 199 or between QF 400- QF 1349 (inclusive).

Advance Seat Selection is not available:

• to passengers who are requesting seats during check-in;
• at the airport sales desks;
• for flights operated by QantasLink

I wonder if this has more to do with trim on smaller aircraft...

Melbourne-Canberra 11am.. I doubt that'd be an onward flight for a lot of people. Who knows though?
