Great trip report as usual. Always appreciate the level of detail you provide and the photos. I enjoy being on holiday vicariously in places I'll never have the guts to visit.

A great trip report and so many good photos.

No "guts" required in Georgia kevro. People are very welcoming and you will be unlikely to experience aggression anywhere except perhaps on the rugby field and in Tbilisi there are police patrolling everywhere.

Georgia is a Christian country. There is a church upon every hilltop...seriously, they are everywhere.

Whilst the wine is very good, the food is also worth a mention. A meal is an event and the act of toasting is taken very seriously.

Pictures taken on?
How many AA points did it cost all up?

Pictures taken on my pocket Sony DSC HX50V; had it for about 4 years now and love it. The resolution is of course much better than what I've posted. I paste the pics into Word, then take an image of a pair using 'Snipping' tool; image sizes then often only abt 200kb.

Total miles 105,000; 60,000 for the F seat, 45,000 for the J.

Thank you for all the effort you put into the TR.

Sounds as if for a first visit having a guide would be useful to get the 'lay of the land' and set yourself up for a DIY follow-up if it clicks.

I suppose its different 'horses for courses' with the EY J seats. At 180cm I found them too good and missed valuable movie viewing time (competition with son as to who can watch AND recount the most movies). Wife who "can never sleep on a plane" slept for nearly 6 hours on the way out from Sydney. Suggesting either that only we upgrade to J this Dec and leave the 3 teens behind in Y or she alone upgrades....

Totally agree that the window seat is best for travelling alone.

The middle seats are a potential nightmare if on your own as your feet are within mm of your neighbour. Conversely if travelling as a couple etc then they are very good.

Given the window J are known to be great - they are in high demand and can be gone 8-9 months ahead of travel on busy routes - so book early.

I enjoyed re-reading this trip report on my flight to Tbilisi this morning. Have spent the afternoon looking around and I love this place already!

Lastly, wine is Georgia and Georgia is wine. Wine shops and tasting rooms are everywhere. And they pour a LARGE glass!! I haven't gotten my head around Georgian wine yet - the grape varieties; the districts and especially how the same grape can produce vastly different wines. More research needed :) .

I'm sampling the wine at this place as we speak. It's very nice! :)
