Seeing as most are only doing this for the bonus points and not the cover why even bother telling the truth about anything that will raise your premium.

Id imagine you are legally obliged to answer truthfully. Not sure what they might do if they find lots of people end up signing up purely for the points but would imagine there would be something in the T&C enabling them to investigate. I got mine down to $9.71 per mth with 100% truthful answers so don't see much benefit in lying. The main driver seems to be age anyway which they get from your FF account so no way around that.

Signing up now. I had previously gone for the ANZ Onepath insurance for 10k points, so 30k points for this is a no brainer.

Let's hope the Assure agents don't aggressively telemarket again after cancelling the product. After enquiring on the website on the original health product launch, I was getting calls for days.

Edit: got mine down to $8.50 by excluding illnesses and including only accidents and threw in extreme sports for $1. Might as well be covered for the silly things I plan to do in the next two months.

Edit 2: Wow those questions were the most thorough of any insurance I've applied for. At least they have a click-to-chat function...

Exactly, a younger-samh004 may have considered that, but being truthful in this case worked out just fine.

YMMV. ;)

Probably little downside of purchasing at that price though!

i could not get lower then $37 per month, but that will be ok as I need an additional 40,000 points but dont want to have to sign up for a new credit card. I am also awaiting a callback as my family history wont let me just sign up :p

$37 is very high.. most people are getting sub $10. You may have not used the lowest limits or minimum cover... unless you actually will use this cover and want actual protection.

Depends on your profession. I can't get lower than just under $30 per month.

I did use the lowest minimum cover. Its probably because of my profession (nursing), high risk of injuries. Life insurance itself was cheap, but the added extra was expensive. Only need it for two months and get my points... worth the $74 for the 30,000 points I need.

re did mine after their premium came in at $0.00 ( assuming bugs in the website). I just want to proceed..... Why do they need to call me to go ahead.......

They said they would call me thursday and haven't! Will call them Monday.

The best I can get life insurance was ~$42/month and TPD or Income Protection at ~$29/month.

Don't need the points that badly.

The lowest I could get it to was $14/month, which is still quite reasonable considering I'll get 30,000 points.

I'll have to wait for them to call me back though as there was something from the application they needed to clarify.
