I didn't answer any of them. Google told me it was an AGL call centre number
Unfortunately for most phone systems - the number shown may NOT be the real number.

Even worse, if you use callback it often calls the hidden number NOT the shown number, just like with email addresses showing up. If the scammers are not so sophisticated then you will get a 'This number is not in service announcement'.

The Google approach is best BUT manually dial the number that Google confirms - Never use callback (just to be 100% safe).

Seems to only be a 10k bonus + 5k gas + 2.5k each per 12 months
+ $100 now. Could be good to switch between this, Ampol and red energy for the bonuses.

Quick update. Still waiting for my electricity velocity points. After they transferred only 3,000 they now have to manually request the remaining 17,000. Meant to have occured by last Friday, but nothing. I'm at a loss now, how many times can I ring them?

It's been about 8-9 calls and an ongoing issue since beginning April. 😑

I signed up during the 35K promotion (a few days before it finished). I just received 10K bonus points for electricity (thought it was meant to be 20K!?). I haven't received the gas bonus points yet. However, I'm starting to suspect they placed me onto the new 15K promotion instead.....!

I just noticed i'd only received 10k points - contacted them and was assured the other 10k would arrive within the 45 day timeframe.

That's BS. Ring back. I had to ring NINE times for my points to be credited accurately and every single time I was told a different story.

On a somewhat related note - having received my 35k points and used the $200 credit I switched out to another provider only to be sent a 'why are you leaving us' email with an offer of $225 per fuel credit ($450 in total) to stay (or in my case transfer back) to AGL.

Well OK then! I'm all for free money!

So $35k points plus $425 in free electricity and and $225 in free gas!

Loving life!

I've switched out as well.

$250 statement credit elsewhere at a slightly better rate per kw/h is the reason.
Another reason at bottom on AGL website, but won't mention that as not allowed.

If offered $225 per fuel comes by I will likely accept that though.

I find acting quickly on all these offers you get the points / cash back etc in a timely manner and not need to call.

Interesting. How does this work?
You churn to another provider and before its processed they sent you the offer?

Kind of - Electricity had been moved over and I had seen the first bill (shortened month) from the new provider, but Gas had not transferred.

This was the email....

I wasn't going to argue....

Bugger VIC not included, another disadvantage of living in Vic.

Seemingly I won't be getting that offer.

So from what I can tell there is noway to message or email the support team regarding the issue?

I tried the online chat once but only got so far before being told I'd have to ring.

A few posts back up this thread someone posted the complaints number. I'd recommend ringing that number. I still had to call them 2-3 times to get it resolved, but they didn't make matters worse which is what happened with the entry level call centre staff.
