Upgrade to F on A388

Good to find you survived the flight. :D

I have had issues when in the very front rows on many an aircraft. It seems on quite a few configurations the most forward OHSB's reduce in depth to allow for fuselage curvature - I expect this would be the situation here.

Other than that, who was the flight/service/seat overall?

I won't fault them for attitude - they certainly were happy to oblige when asked (eg. Having to ask for a bottle of water - they'd apologise and get one immediately)

I think other factors were that F was full (as was J) and the 2 CL sitting right behind me (2&3K), and there was possibly up to 6 CL in total (suspect 1&2A as well as 4F&K).
I was also given the explanation that one of the attendants was new to F (hence forgetting things) - but he was very polite too.

I got a bad case of the runs today (didnt eat when I got home last night, was way too tired).

Have only just noticed this thread. I upgraded to F on an A380 for both legs SYD-LAX-SYD a couple of weeks ago.

I was in 1K on the way over, and didn't like the noise from the toilet and lockers right near that seat, plus whenever someone went through the curtains to the toilet area, you'd get light in your eyes. Not a great seat IMHO. Apologies for not commenting before your flight.

I was in 5K on the way back, and it was much, much better. It was a lot quieter (depsite being near the galley), and it also had some more storage space, with another shelf to the right of the seat. The service was also coincidentally much better on the way home.

I know now to select the A side of the plane - I paid the price to get a row 1 ticket... At least it wasn't a longer trip such as SIN-LHR, where that kind of thing would've irked me even more.
Will know for next time - row 11 in J upstairs seemed fine though (no toilet and hardly anyone used the lounge/bar).
