US Dividend Miles - Award Booking Questions and General Discussion

You can't mix OW & other partners in the same award, so if you are going with CA, your return will have to be with either CA or SQ, and SQ would have to be booked by Jul 31.

Of course, totally forgot about that. SQ is no good as they don't release seats to *A into Australia (except sometimes <14days)... so only way would be MNL-xPEK-MEL on CA. Can see J seats available on 11th but not 12th...(Looks like PEK-MEL doesn't fly Tuesdays)

Hey guys,

Not sure if this has already been asked (and apologies if it has) but was hoping for some guidance on my situation. I've got a J booking from Mel to Calgary with one flight NRT - BKK in Y. J availability was not there at the time of booking. However looking at the flight today and it appears that some has appeared. I've had a fair bit of luck in the past with doing a "Correction of Cabin" request but on calling tonight I was informed that they do not have access to the *A system and therefore could not assist.

Is this a case of HUACA or is this really a limitation post merger?

She gave me the choice of cancelling the existing booking and trying to re-book with OW but obviously don't want to go down that route. I'm completely happy to go in Y but can't pass up the opportunity to upgrade that leg if there is a way to do so :)

TIA

They are correct. If it is a former star airline, USDM won't be able to reissue the ticket to reflect the J cabin on the existing leg.

can you book EK metal on a QF code? specifically to go AUS-ME-USA (think i recall seeing something about separate flight numbers but might be getting confused about AA rather than USDM)

cannot book EK operated flights (or any code-share flights for that matter) via USDM

worth a try.

travel insurance may be an option. I think it comes under cancellation protection?

When you can get reasonable overnight accommodation close by for $60/night not really worth chasing up! :)

can be the difference between arriving, having to find your driver or a taxi and going to a two or three star hotel, vs a short walk to the 4 star or so Novotel.

They've used it several times without issue and given the room they get is much nicer than the Novotel offering no brainer IMHO.

Was going to suggest they head to F lounge after arrival, get a massage etc. then head to hotel. Then in the morning can have another one when arriving back at the airport

I hope it's this one that I have booked:

Hey, I just wanted to ask if this route was possible: SYD-DXB-LHR(stop)-JFK(dest)-NRT/HND-HKG-SYD.
