US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

So I convinced a friend at work to purchase some miles during the last 100%bonus sale with the view that I would be able to get her to Europe for the Olympics next year in J for not much more than Y. The flight were booked last night via the call centre

18Jul OZ602 SYD-ICN
19Jul LH713 ICN-FRA, LH982 ICN-DUB
Surface Sector to LON
14Aug TG911 LHR-BKK
17Aug TG475 BKK-SYD

Total cost AUD$2580 (Mileage 120,000 taxes $350.00, includes 20,000 miles bought outside promo period at new price 0.035c/mile)

All in all a good result, checked bestflights.com.au SYD-DUB,LHR-SYD was selling for $2100 with China Eastern in Y more with an Asian stopover

Great thread, things have filled up a lot over the last month so took a while to find something that works for 2 people

26/5 OZ602 Syd - ICN

Overnight Seoul. Actually nearly 24 hours as flight arrives 18:10 and leaves 17;00 but since I worked in Seoul nearly 20 years ago am looking forward to a revisit.

27/5 UA 892 ICN - SFO
4 hr layover
27/5 CO 1507 SFO - EWR

5/6 CO 4868 EWR - Montreal
5/6 AC 183 Montreal - YVR

Have a 7 hour layover in Vancouver, hopefully enough time to look around a bit

5/6 AC033 YVR - SYD

All J except Montreal - YVR in coach, will keep an eye out on this to see if we can upgrade.

Thanks to all on the original thread it cost me about $1600 each for the 110K points, haven't yet confirmed the tickets but was advised ~ $140 in tax.

Webjet shows $1800 (UA) for this in Y ($2K with Korean with stopover in Seoul), $6K (Korean) - 7.5 K (UA) in Business

Well done on the booking. Very nice on getting those AC flights.

7hr layover in Vancouver is plenty of time to head into the city (takes 20 or so minutes on the train from YVR) and explore for a few hours.

Question - With the booking I posted above I have not recieved any email confirmation, I've gotten confirmation/PNR from all the flights but cannot locate them on anything like checkmy trip or via future bookings on USAirways website. Flights appear on the individual airline pages (except for Asiana - I cant find where to check trips on line) It has been quite a few weeks should I follow up with USAirways or with the airlines direct again?

So Burmans, with the itinerary you are showing are you just flying straight to EWR, staying there, and then flying straight back?? Not taking a stop over anywhere where you could spend more time than just <24 hour transit (ICN or YVR) if you wanted to if I have my understanding about these awards correct???

I had the same experience with I booked mine.

USAirways never send the email confirmation from what I've read, but you should still be able to use the USairways code on the Manage my Reservations tab on the front page.

If you got your PNRs working on the partner airlines you shouldnt stress too much.

Same here. I never got a confirming email from USair.

When I booked the fares on TG with the USair operator she read out the Thai PNRs to me. I can check my bookings on the USair site under the Manage my Reservations tab on the USair site or I can type the Thai PNRs into the Thai site and both show the same bookings.

Thanks for the help, Flights dont seem to be coming up under her Manage bookings either, Ill get to chase the airlines :)

How are you looking for your flights? I think I wrote down the wrong USAir confirmation codes but can access my ticket useing my DM number, date and name.

On that note, it tells me my TG476 flight has changed yet it doesn't look like it has changed at all and wants me to accept the changes.

Might be an aircraft change. TG are changing SYD-BKK from A346 to 747 between Dec - Mar - not sure if it's all dates or just selected ones. Over on FT some are saying that the dreaded 747 All Series is scheduled!!

After reading 900 odd posts on the other US Dividend Miles thread, I (and a few others) agree that a separate thread for successful award bookings should be started that will give all of us a concise, very concise, summary of all the bookings that have been made using our beloved US Dividend Miles.

......

I hope we can stick to successful bookings posts only

Come on folks, send the chatter to the other thread, you know which one I am talking about ;)

This thread is meant to assist you by keeping it simple, concise and show the actual bookings that are able to made. Anything else, can go to the other thread where you can talk anything about Dividend Miles, plane types, email issues, seating arrangements, or whatever you want to your heart's desire.

What a great thread.

Yes, l just read that in the Thai forum today.
Some of the old 747 Thai F Class doesn't have AVOD

Thai is also receiving a A380 next year.

In the 2nd half I believe.

I just hope they keep the 773 from JetAirways on the BKK-CDG run until July :D

My first attempt to redeem US miles was on some AC flights within North America earlier this year. Unsurprisingly perhaps, Aeroplan was showing plenty of award inventory; sadly, US could see none of it. And so we resorted to Plan B.

Determined to be better prepared second time around, I ascertained that our desired flights were available on Aeroplan, ANA and CO before picking up the phone. Some 45 minutes later, the agent told me that it was the easiest booking she'd ever done and asked where I'd checked flight inventory. She knew about Aeroplan, but not the other two. We're now booked in February/March to fly:

PER-HKT-BKK-BLR//DEL-BKK(overnight <24 hours)-PER (all TG in J) for 90K + ~$180AUD

The cost of the miles redeemed gives a total cost per pax of some $1,585. As the equivalent cash fare is ~$4K, that's one big vote of thanks for the many contributions both here and on FT! Now, just another bonus promotion and we can think about F to Paris for Christmas 2012 ... :D

PER-BKK-ZRH-FRA-ATL/DEST/IAD-FRA/STOP/CCU-BKK-PER all in J

110,000 miles and $238.10 taxes and charges plus $50 booking fee

TG/LH/UA

Nice booking there, a lot of flying!
May I ask what the layover times were? Any longish layovers in there?

I'll check up on stopover times and put them in the larger *A thread so we keep this one 'clean' :D think my taxes and charges might also have been lower going on what was listed on my credit card statement but as i said will check and post in the other thread...

Edit: Ok, posted info in the other thread... Strangely enough i was quoted taxes and charges of $238 plus the $50 award admin fee, but when i checked my credit card it looks like only $141.65 was charged plus the $50 admin fee, which sounds good to me... :)
