Drron gave 3 stories up thread. Responses have studiously avoided the second two. No guesses as to why.
Well I personally didn’t read any of the three articles and the numbers in the extract of the first one was curious to me - And my mental maths said, $20 per dose.

From the title/headline, the latter two don’t appear to have much bearing on the US presidential election in my opinion. Meaning, does it go towards Trump v Biden suitability/electability?

This will be a complex presidential campaign because of these big things;

1. Covid19 effects on policy & voter turnout.
2. Race relations & BLM/Law & Order
3. Increasingly belligerent China and trade spying and military tensions.
4. Money printing QE infinity inflating the stock market and depreciation of the USD making US exports competitive.
5. Any other black swan event in the way of a third candidate syphoning off votes from the two major parties.
6. Mental health and "senior moments/blunders" by either Biden or Trump on the campaign trail.

I think it's interesting that an incumbent president should have the advantage of incumbency and I suspect that Trump might try to disrupt the traditional narrative and run on issues 2, 3 & 4 while minimizing issue 1.

The media looks like it has not learned it's lessons from the 2016 US elections so goes into this campaign with an even more skeptical and disengaged American public that isn't listening to the mainstream media and unreliable opinion polls. I think the democrats made a massive blunder by not fielding a younger and more personable/genuine candidate, they had some good ones that got knocked out early.

So essentially the US is a broken society, probably the reason there are no responses is that there is no news there. Coronavirus may get a solution this next year, America's broken society runs much deeper and I can't see a resolution any time soon, and stories like this are just more of the same, hand wringing with no solution.

Well the polls I try to focus on are the ‘battleground’ and ‘bellweather’ states. Last time around the Clinton v Trump really distorted the traditional map making it more difficult to work out the bellwether states. Add to that: reasons of anti-Government sentiment, sexism, polarisation of Clinton, Clinton’s emails, unknown quantity of Trump, presumed Russia interference - affecting the electorate’s voting decision.

I’m curious to ask who you think could have won the Democratic primary. With the benefit of hindsight, South Carolina pretty much gave Biden a lock and the reason from exit polls indicated Biden was a safe pair of hands - meaning to me deep legislative and executive experience with a more moderate view.

You wonder what Trump knows or just stumbles into...

The episode became known as Ax Handle Saturday — Aug. 27, 1960, a date that takes on greater meaning now because, on its 60th anniversary next month, President Donald Trump will accept the presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in Jacksonville, mere miles from the attack.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will no longer hold a large, in-person Republican convention in Jacksonville, Florida, because of the coronavirus but that he will hold virtual events and still give an acceptance speech.

"I told my team it's time to cancel the Jacksonville, Florida, component of the GOP convention. We will be starting in North Carolina for the Monday, as has always been planned. We were never taking that off," Trump said at a news conference at the White House.

TBH, I think observations from so far away, about the BLM protests are difficult. Thus we are reliant on whatever picture a particular media outlet wants to paint about the protesters. If you've been around AFF for a while, you can also soon workout what the posted story will say based on the poster as well 🤣

The truth as always lies somewhere between the partisan portrayals - never as holy or as bad as they're made out to be.

Yes but you not 40odd days until those corrupt illegal postal votes can start flowing in in some states isn’t it?
