Using opposite side of Qantas Cash Card with barcode as a BP on JQd... doable?

Sorry, 1 paw dip into the fountain of knowledge.
Dog paws are not good for typing, QJd meaning JQ domestic.
Yes, your QFF/QCC card can be used as a BP on QF domestic flights.
Just scan the bar code at the gate, they give you a small piece of paper with your name and seat number and QFF number on it.
If you do OLCI on a mobile device, they can also scan the QR code, or after doing OLCI, you can just do nothing more, but complete the OLCI process, not print the BP, then scan your QFF/QCC card at the gate.
Have been doing it this way on QF domestic flights since the bar code on it came out.
Wipes paw dry.

This gets more and more confusing. The side with the barcode is the cash card side.
The other side is the QFF side.
But you can use the card to board on QFd - which side is irrelevant.
Exactly, the opposite side of the "Qantas cash card with barcode" is the QFF side, without barcode. So using opposite side of the "Qantas cash card with barcode" as a BP is never doable - since the QFF side doesn't have the barcode required to allow it to be used as a BP.

Short sentences that are direct to the point avoid confusion. e.g Can I use the barcode on my QFF card as a boarding pass on JQd? Or even: Can I use my QFF card as a BP on JQd?

Still that won't require 24 posts and multiple title edits = how boring.

Thank you for explaining the semantics ;)

WTF????? My head hurts, why are you using a dogs paw to type on a forum? Is this account here just to take the piss or what? For the life of me I cannot work out WTF you are on about 99% of the time. I just find myself drawn to your posts out of morbid curiosity

This is the bit that defeats the whole purpose. You scan your card, and they give you a bit of paper. Just like a boarding pass, really ......

As long as they insist on a second boarding check inside the plane there's no other option (except to give the hosties there a scanner as well).

Plus a lot of people would probably forget what seat they are in without the printout.

I guess it's a move in the right direction. Just like using devices gate to gate now, they started with allowing the use of them inflight and progressed to gate to gate........positive moves need to be done in incremental steps, it would appear! Not everyone has a smart phone, so I guess they assume it's easier to do this way.
