Using points for J upgrade on 2 sectors

Hi,

I'm looking booking LST - SYD with a stop in MLB to gain the additional SC with the additional sector. Can anyone tell me, if I was to book Flexi can I upgrade to J for 7900 points on both sectors or being 2 sectors will I need to use 15800 points?
