So do we think in the new config that the front section of Econ will be Econ +?
I have a return bne-LAX journey booked nov-Jan 2016/7 and already called to request row 20 (bulkhead/bassinet) as will be travelling with infant and little one. I was told row 20 is gone but new front row is 21, but it didn't sound like the agent was confident that there will be a bassinet position at 21 ABC. Can anyone shed any light? I am gold status. Did I score allocation in better than regular economy by chance? Think it will stick?
See er my post earlier #135:

the bassinets used to be in row 20 in the old config. Row 20 still exists but only for HJK. It depends whether the is going to be a bulkhead there. If so then I would think there would be bassinets there.
Thanks. Have done the journey in 20, 2x previously. The new config looks as though there will be a toilet in front of 21 ABC, can't imagine there would be a bassinet position on toilet wall? And I would not want to sit that closely to the toilet.
I'm not sure how VA is going to market the Economy+ section. Its true generally that Gold and Plat get first dibs at the front rows of each selected cabin.
Not a lot of choice if you want a bassinet. Have you thought of using a car seat inflight? Sorry asked you that before
Will seat request stick? . Well it's never guaranteed, if there are 10 infants wanting a bassinet.....So request early and check in early
Hi All!
Looking for some help here. I have read the thread and can't get a straight read on what the story is with Row 20.
I am flying BNE-LAX next week and then back at the end of the month. Also I've never flown the VA 777
Currently in row 22 as I like windows (apparently 21 is windowless), but wondering if I should move to 20? (I am WP so can allocate)
I am about 6ft and like to stretch my legs while sleeping. For reference I can tuck my toes under the rails of the seat in front on the 737.
Is row 20 more like the 737 Row 3 where its "OMG ALL THE SPACE" or is it like say the SQ 777/A330 where the bulkhead row is actually more annoying for tall people as you can't straighten your legs.
Cheers
my husband is 6'2" and we have done Bne-lax return twice in row 20 and he loves it.

Thanks, does he rate it the same as 737 Row 3 per chance?
I have flown bulkhead on the NZ 777 but didn't rate it as "be okay with this for 14hrs"
Can't seen to find any pics online either
Look like I will get both during my trip in June.Ausbt,
Only the V1.0 are flying those dates
Doing a small sample seat map query, I can see VA7 getting V2.0 end of June and VA1 from beginning of May
Of course like seat selection, aircraft substitution may sometimes occur

Also can you see the seat allocation map in your booking?. The new config is as described several post above in this thread
I hadn't taken the booking process that far yet, just reviewing pricing which seems ok. Hmmm, weighing up buring 45K points on a J upgrade and taking PE back, or simply going for Row 20. I don't really want to burn too many points as everytime I go somewhere my wife puts her hand out for the points, to use on herself.

VA has the thinnest padding!!
