VA - ANA Codeshare Seat Selection

0/10 experience, would not recommend using VA codeshare with ANA.

All the VA codeshares operated by the carriers are a bit of a pain point with regards to seat selection via contact centres or online. If booking the VA codeshare is quite important... it's probably best to go to a travel agent that is able to do the seat selections.

@PERLHR sent me their NH PNR and I discovered that even NH staff who are above the contact centre are not given the functionality that allows them to make the need need seating request. Ironically as an agent, I can select seats on VA codeshares operated by NH without any issues.

Thanks @madrooster, that's really good information moving forward. As the ANA tickets were about $500 each way cheaper to book via VA codeshare, there's a chance we'd do it again -- this time via a travel agent and minus their fees.
