VA Economy Reward booking & United Gold

I'm a lowly VA Red planning to book a domestic Economy Reward flight - this will of course include one check-in bag.

I'm also United Gold so I'm entitled to an additional check-in bag when I buy a VA ticket... does it also apply to reward bookings, meaning I will be able to check in two bags?

Yes, once you’ve booked the ticket swap out the VFF number and replace it with your UA MP number. That entities you to whatever benefit VA provides to UA member, including lounge access.

Do UA reward sites booked through Velocity include a free checked bag? when you go to select a flight it says one is not included, per the screenshot below, however on VA's website under the travelling with partners page it says Virgin Australia Reward Seat's on UA operated flights include 1 x 23kg bag.
