I only joined this forum yesterday but follow the facey page regularly. Travel is my passion before its my job :)

I also have a passion (and education) in the industry although my job is in a totally different industry now. I thought I knew the industry before I joined but this site has really opened my eyes and I keep learning every day. Welcome to the site and I am sure you'll have a blast :-)

I had VA metal held for a sec but then changed my dates and that's when they pulled availability. Doh!! So got DL metal but who cares for that price?!? I alerted a colleague who posted it on the facey page so hopefully a few got them :)

So it's all your fault it went viral!! lol

I've been an agent for 12 years and it's always constant learning. I think that's what I love most about it - there is always a challenge.

...if you work as an agent then you are in high demand here. It is very hard to find an agent that understand the mind set of FF travel.
Absolutely.

I would totally use an agent more often if I could find a good one who understood why I might want to want to piece together a ludicrous itinerary, book a particular fare class or go via PER to get to SIN, or even alert me to 'sale' fares like this ;).

The agents I've dealt with in the past seemed to be more used to simply finding the cheapest price to get from A to B – ignoring very important factors like SC earn, point accrual, upgrade eligibility, aircraft type etc.
