Are you able to provide some insight as to what routes and approx dates you're seeing VS availability ? Thanks :)
Plenty of availability from HKG-LHR and v.v
Also good availability between LHR-BOM and LHR to several Caribbean destinations. Real good availability LHR-JFK too and some other US destinations. Any dates look fine

Interesting that you think there will be plural. I thought they released one business seat per partner per year

Some etihad routes have lots of space, many flights that aren't in peak times or to/from Australia have space in all cabins.

Well let’s hope it gets better than the old US situation with VA1… when that smart AFF member wrote that script to query Velocity… that was insane!

Ah good to have a whinge about not enough Velocity international rewards seats available.....

better than whinging about everybody losing all their VFF points & having only 1 airline in the country & it's budget offshoot.

We always would like more reward availability, what's new??

We have 2 really great airlines in this beautiful country (now in largely freedom) which flies us around the world with it's many partners including rewards seats.

Good times.

Yes and even the possibility of the SQ transfer returning!

$10 that people will still whinge when Krisflyer/Velocity transfer returns with the high possibility of a further devalued transfer rate as Bain/Velocity/VA are in the box seat of negotiations with SQ/Krisflyer

International long haul flights on VA metal (Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tokyo) seem to be a while away, but at least there are redemption/partner options. To get status credits on flights to London SQ/Etihad is the way to go, and for LAX flights its Delta Airlines.

HKG won't be returning for the long term foreseeable future due to numerous reasons. One of the primary reasons is that their former partners (and former part stakeholder) on the route (HNA Group carriers) are still under their country's equivalent of voluntary administration.

Agreed, especially out of non-LHR ports coming back to Australia
Maybe better to aim for J outside of the UK, ie, something from SIN to BCN/MAD and return, (to avoid their APD which they charge an arm and a leg for for that particular tax).
Get an el cheapo budget airline to fly from your port of arrival (apart from the UK), and go get back to it.
Edit, just had a look, ((unless you are happy to pay GBP185 for premium cabin over 2000 miles))!

Why do you think Velocity will devalue the transfer rate? Has this been published somewhere? Don’t get me worried for no reason :(

We know the Velocity/Krisflyer transfer program was largely a money loser in VA's direction in the final year prior to administration.

Both Velocity and Krisflyer know that the transfers are largely in the Velocity to Krisflyer direction and is a money drain from Velocity to Krisflyer/SQ's coffers.

Bain are ultimately a PE firm in the end and NOT a charity, and they will want to negotiate something in the Velocity<>Krisflyer transfer program that's more 'sustainable' if NOT in favour of Bain.

Even if the transfer rate doesn't get devalued, chances are there will possibly be surcharges in the Velocity to Krisflyer direction (to compensate) to ensure there's a income stream to Bain.

You say “devalued” but for those of us with a very large stack of VFF points I’d say it’s a massive win if it comes off
