Belief (or disbelief) in the government's previously mandated treatment would seem to be a fairly significant reason why many Australians are still not fully vaccinated. Surely if the dosage is safe and the vaccines are going wasted, then allowing those that are 6 months since their last shot, and taking into account previous information that by 4 - 6 months after the previous treatment, the vaccine effectiveness had waned to less than 40% of original, then why not enable those willing to be vaccinated to proceed?

Personally I expect if this wave continues to grow, ATAGI will change their mindset and then wonder why their is a scramble for vaccination appointments around Christmas.

I don’t believe there’s been any change in the mandated treatment. Three doses are recommended for all, four for those at higher risk.

I just had a MyGov message to say that my application for compensation under the vaccine claim scheme has been assessed, and "deemed payable". I submitted the application 6 months ago, after a fairly horrid experience with myo/peri-carditis. Currently waiting for the deed of settlement to arrive in the mail tomorrow. While I'm not back to 100% just yet (although it's likely I never will be), the compensation will be the last part of the puzzle for me in achieving closure after what was an incredibly difficult time.

Kudos to the government at the time for introducing the scheme. It has its flaws - communication has been non-existent since submission, and extensive documentation is required (my claim ran over 100 pages in total, with 60-odd attachments including letters from multiple specialists, a personal statement, and receipts for every cost incurred).

Got around to having 4th jab last week. Only reason was upcoming travel to the US next week, lots of time in aircraft, crowded places, mid winter etc.

Got the Moderna bivalent vaccine. (3 Pfizer previously). First time ive had any noticeable reaction, temperature, stiffness etc. All fairly mild and lasted <24hrs.
