Does anyone know what business seats Virgin are releasing on this route. As soon as seats were available for early Feb24 I searched various routes ex Aust (including new OOL route) and dates and couldn’t find any availability. I was speaking to Virgin last week for a particular flight and they said all reward seats were taken. I thought this was not credible so did some dummy bookings for 8 seats and all seats are still available. I know this is a popular route but seems to go against the policy of releasing 2 business seats for each flight. There are plenty of economy seats available.
Would love to know if when Virgin will release seats, if at all.

Is there such policy?
I wouldn’t have thought they aren’t under any obligation to release award seats especially when they are able to sell them easily.

I’ve noticed from about 3 months ago that all Virgin business rewards have been zeroed, at least for the flights I’ve been looking at and for various months of departure.

I’m pretty sure it’s just Bain maximising profits on seats that they believe they can sell. Even the price of business paid fares have increased immensely compared to pre-Covid.
