Hi,

Does anyone know as a Velocity gold member, can I bring my family member with me through priority check-in and priority boarding, when travelling economy on Virgin Australia or partner airlines such as Singapore Airlines?

Thank you.

I don't know the official rules, but I can tell that you I always do.

Both Delta and Virgin never questioned it - my one Singapore flight was long ago I cant remember what happened except to say that I always queue in priority so I expect that was fine also.

As long as they are on the same PNR it shouldn't be a problem. A few years back my daughter was travelling with her friend and they wouldn't let the friend line up in Priority checkin because the friend was not on the same PNR. SIA I think. (I think my daughter was Platinum back then)

yeah, I took my 2 sisters on a trip last month; and since we were all on the same PNR, priority extended to them as well.

I have always taken my wife and 2 kids through priority boarding with me (always booked on the same PNR) with no issues. Recently I took a work colleague though priority boarding at Melbourne (he was booked on a separate ticket me) and he was let through okay.

I've never had any issues. In fact Delta were amazing giving us lounge access for 2 kids instead of the official one. The staff in the lounge managed to change my husband to be on the same domestic flight as the kids and I (his was booked by work). The check in staff had no clue. They treated high status VA members really well. Priority boarding and screening in the US is a game changer as the queues (pre covid) were huge.
I've always taken anyone travelling with me along with me. Just with confidence in Australia and the US. In the US we had friends who were on different flights and they came in the line with us and weren't questioned. At the time my husband was Platinum and I was gold. I am going to miss USA lounge access when they go to United if we fly with them.
