Velocity Outage ?

Thank Goodness for that. Thought they might have decided it was a mistake to let me have a Platinum card.

I just transferred a few hundred thousand points to my account, maybe I crashed the server............

It maybe all the people updating their details to win 100,000 points.... flaky for me since last night.
 
Sounded like a system upgrade but if it is more than the Velocity site I guess it is actually an outage. You upgrade key systems at night not during the day.
 
It is a public holiday here in Brisbane, which is where I assume their IT is based - so it may be that they're just not aware of the issue..
 
I tried to update my profile just now and ~ 1300 and the page would not load.Yet mrsdrron was able to do it at 1537 without problem.

It's was flaky yesterday morning too, and yes I have was chasing 100,000 points. They're mine, all mine. Methinks DJ needs a new loyalty server.
 
There's no such thing as a public holiday or weekends or after hours in IT when there are outages or upgrades. :( If they didn't know about it and start doing something about it immediately something is seriously wrong.

On the other hand if it is an overload then not much can be done about it short term.
 
Not working here. Hope there's no check-in chaos as i'm heading out in an hour or two.
 
I tried this morning and was unable to login. Tried three different browsers just now, nothing !
 
I just logged in then - funnily enough I've been really concerned about the 100,000 points thing because I just jumped at it with no thought - then wondered "how do I really know that came from Virgin and wasn't some sort of phishing scheme?" - thankfully my fears were allayed by the fact that others on the forum received the same email :)
 
It was down all yesterday (SUN) for me. Didn't start working until near 12am
