It would be nice in the payment section at the very least to be able to use outstanding credits (previous cancellations) using reservation number or my own Velocity number rather than using the call centre to make the booking and use the credit.

Totally agree, ringing the call centre is a PITA.

I have to make sure I havn't had a drink and speak slowly otherwise I have to repeat everything

The only thing I have noticed so far is that I seem to be able to select seats online for an complimentary upgrade booking - which I am pretty sure used to give an error message. (But I could be wrong)

Yeah I cracked 500SC's last week, still no Gold upgrade acknowledgement.

When did he get over 500SCs? It normally takes a couple of days for it to kick in.

Was working for this last week (I have a MEL-PER flight later this week which I used my WP J Upgrade on, and it let me select my J seat just fine). Is that what you meant?

All that was promised was "system maintenance" - so I think we can now conclude the they were indeed doing maintenance!

The only difference I can see is it seems like they have over credited me points for my Flight to Auckland on Friday,

Ticked over to gold a few weeks back but can't figure out how they have come up with 1070 for the Gold Bonus.

Saver Fare - Base points = 714 points
Bonus points = 1070 points

Can some one clarify how it works with the Bonus points on International Short-Haul?

I was thinking, I was going to get 75% of 714 points not of the normal Base of 1426.

Last week the 6th of June was my day of having 540 status credits and requiring -40 to upgrade to Gold
On 7th June I turned to Gold and got the welcome email, and am still showing as Gold
