Found seats HAN-HKG-YVR in Oct/Nov which I'd like to book, but when clicking through the Cathay website only gives HAN-HKG-LHR-YVR or HAN-HKG-LAX-YVR and it errors out if I select those anyway. Is there a trick I'm missing or just too late to the party?

It’s been on ‘the blogs’ since early this morning, probably drying up

I will be interested to see if they honour these. Discussion in the thread seems mixed on whether they will or not.

Yep looks like late to the party, someone at Cathay is having a bad hangover.

Not sure if the fare is still there or not. On the CX website I can price out HAN-IAD for USD $1113 for J or $1294 for F. The dates I entered were July 15 to August 1. But, and there is a but, in my earlier bookings I was able to complete seat selection but on any cheap booking now I cannot. This is not a good sign

I got in very early for DAD - JFK x2 in F but expecting this to be cancelled. Worth a shot for sure.

All the results I'm getting now are for code shares - operated by AA. Pricing at USD1700 return in F SGN-IAD.

Keep looking. It took me an hour to find the flights I booked. The flights I mentioned earlier are still available. The codeshare probably explains the lack of seat selection.

Booked one, then had the fatal mistake of keeping looking afterwards ... found a better option .... oh well!

Suspect won't be honoured.

Scmp reporting some have had their tickets cancelled without warning today
