Chinese owned since... 2020? Not sure about this vintage but I'd like to see if anyone here has tried it.

I have tried this Grand Pappy 2018. Was purchased for $35 on sale and taken it to Bistro Rex as a BYO option to try it out just for fun. Everyone was quite impressed and asked me to buy more for them if it ever goes on sale.

The reason my Winecompanion search didn't work is that VM listed the region incorrectly, it's Eden Valley, not Barossa. I'm happy with it anyway

They actually don't even list Eden Valley as a region. They have "Barossa" and "Barossa Valley" as different regions. I guess they can get away with that as they state in the description "..from Barossa high planes..." cheeky buggers.

It's a pretty fair $25 wine, the $150 RRP is ludicrous, $35 price still stretching it a bit, unless you really like "modern style" fresh mid-weight 13.5% a/v Barossa Shiraz.

Personally, I didn't like it. So much so that it is the only wine that I have ever sent back to VM. I was really disappointed as 2021 was a great Barossa vintage and I have had some very good Hewitson wines in the past. VM were great when I sent it back to them for a refund though.

I am a little sceptical of a 9 year old Chardonnay sold for $12 a bottle.

I bought for my Chardonnay Bigot friend a 6-pack of Eden Valley Chardonnay 2014 at $32/6 delivered from Grays and he was happy with the wine. screwcaps are wonderful.

The decoder app doesn't work for this one, despite being listed as a price drop I can't find a previous record of it, the best match I can see on Wine Pilot is a Ch Tanunda or Hewitson Ned&Henry, both regular appearances on VM but they aren't exact matches on RRP
