Vinomofo Wine Deals

The Mitolo was gone in an hour...
The genuine hot deals are becoming teasers really…unless you can access the email within an hour of it's transmission you have Buckleys.
I had a (polite) whinge but was told that they have no control over how long it takes for folks to get their emails.
A fairer system would have a delayed start time, so you get the advice and the deal goes live 4 hours later.
Better still , send out the deal overnight and have it go live at 9 am , that way they could take phone sales.

'Also, where's the Mitolo G.A.M?' This was for VIM customers only. Sold out fairly quickly.

Was here:

vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/mitolo-g-a-m-2010-2f4fde01

Thanks, does that mean
they don't send those emails to everyone?

That's correct. What I've noticed is that sometimes I get these emails and the offers never appear on the main website or their facebook or twitter page/offers. But other times they appear a few days later. I assume that on these occasion its when they haven't already sold whatever stock they had.

I don't know what criteria they use to determine VIM status. I'm not a member of any of their regular wine deals (cube etc) but I did spend more than $5000 with them in the last 12 months.

Had to be…the really good buys all disappear too fast.
Imho that's all a bit ordinary, I haven't bought anywhere but from them for the last 6 months.. BUT…I don't (can't) drink $5k of plonk a year.
Vinomofo is a fantastic example of intelligent marketing…but as soon as you play favourites.. you are degrading loyalty...

more than 5k would get their attention!

$5K a year is not that difficult - less than $100 a week - a Billecart takes care of half.

VIM and Club emails don't go to everyone... But some of the deals that start as exclusives are then opened up to everyone (usually the next day).

I have been more restrained with my buying of late because I can't drink it fast enough (constant travel doesn't help with that...)

I feel Very Important now !
Either that or I'm buying too much :D

I can post the VIM deals here if you guys are interested. They are usually less of a bargain and the discounts aren't as high. i.e. The St. Henri 2010 was posted as a pre-order for VIMs but the price ended up costing more than Dan Murphy's.

I still jumped on the Wynns today... A solid wine at that price IMHO.

I saw the St. Henri and took a yawn ;)

I ordered a case of each this afternoon. Running out of Chardy and very partial to the Wynns :D

I almost got both, but I should really start behaving myself, etc...

That Chardy does look interesting though...
