Vinomofo Wine Deals

i had to delve into my order book to see that i had received the 2013 Hungerford Coonawarra Cab...and not the shiraz.....phewwww ! Personally i am not a big fan of many things that are red skinned from n.s.w. But i am glad you enjoyed - correct me if i am wrong - 4 bottles out of the six pack....is it really a sixty five taster from your perspective?

It'd have to be something pretty schmick to convince me to shell out $65 for a bottle and whilst this is a nice drop, $65 is a big ask. Still, I bought this cab as a quaffer and it also doesn't fit into that bucket, it's far too nice so somewhere in between I'd put this as. I've laid down a couple for the future and have kept a couple for drinking now as it's drinking nicely already.

I haven't had too many reds from the east but have had a couple of nice Hunter Shirazes, which is why I jumped on the deal as I rate the quality there. Alas this one didn't come close to hitting the mark so it's back to the Southern land.

The Hungerford was definitely not $65... It was around $22 from memory and divine to drink.

Well, I ordered a case of that Coonawarra Black Market $9 cab.... and I've never heard of the brand before! All I'll say is that the Brands family have something to do with it.

I was wondering if this might be re-badged "Old Money" since Sam Brand is associated with that as well. VM always claim that their own labels have rrp of $30

No - it's not a rebadged bottle as far as I can tell, although I can only find a website for the wine, but no info on the actual wine. There's nothing on the interwebs that I can actually find about this, so this will be a real black market blind taster! Will let you all know what it's like.

What i meant is that VM and Sam Brand might have made this wine and bottled it under 2 labels. One for VM and one for the export market

Interesting... The 2012 Old Money is actually one of the better Vinomofo "Kinda Independent Wine Co" wines. Not sure about the 2013.

If you are correct, at $9 I would say its an okay deal...

Of course, it could be any number of other wines, unless you have some good inside info.

Looks like it.
Alc 13.5%
JH 96. HH 95
But Dans selling $27.95 so not much off.

I just checked Dans, currently a little over $30 in a sixer. I did pay around $27 a bottle for my sixer when it was released at DM's though. Looks like another sixer will be on its way :)
