Vinomofo Wine Deals

Great, thanks. Anyone buy it and try it? Picked up some 2013 Killermans run cabernet from McLaren Vale that I am loving so curious as to how this would compare

Are you sure it isn't Clare Valley?

Both Killakanoon and Pertaringa are well known/established wineries. JH gives the Rifle and Hunt a few extra points, but whether you trust JH or not is another question.

Yes of course you are right- getting my vales and valleys mixed up!!!!

Good point about JH- one of my favourite ever wines is the Killikanoon Covenant shiraz. I have had 3 cases of the 2002 over the last few years which JH rates a 94 and Robert Parker 95

I'm interested in people's opinions on this one too.

I'm tempted as the description sounds like something I'd like and my cellar is missing something decent from the Cab Sav ilk. Having said that the cellar is properly overflowing now so if it's good and anyone in Perth wants to go halfsies (or even less, a few would do me), let me know.

Interestingly the Petaringa is the VM mixed case Red Flight experience, as a revealed wine. "Pertaringa Rifle and Hunt Cabernet 2013 | 95pts Wine Showcase | 5 red star wineryWith 95 points under its belt and an outstanding reputation, this prized cabernet delivers over and above with power, elegance and generosity. Full-bodied with luscious notes of blackcurrant and mulberry, flourishes of violet and herbal spice combine with brooding tannins throughout, leading to a silky smooth finish."

Long time lurker. Appreciate this forum a lot especially those who bother doing reviews. Keep up the good work.

Just to let you know, the Maverick Twins GSM is up on a Facebook add. Seems there might be a few interested parties...

Nope definitely not. Spent ~20min matching the score/%/yr before buying, and can still see it on my news feed...

I'm not totally sure, but there are similarities for the Maverick Twins...
*Edit; if it is, going back through this thread apparently the 2012 and 2013 were stunners, but 2011 wasn't a great year for the Barossa so this one may not be a star.

Does anyone know if we have had the 2014 Pemberley Sav Blanc featured as a BM deal? I know the 2012 and 2013 have.

Seems like the Glenlofty 2012 is back, anyone had the opportunity to crack a bottle yet?

Mine's arrived and had a bottle at lunch. After some of the comments I was a bit apprehensive but really liked it. Great deep colour and quite a bit a tannin. Reminds me of a pretty good Cotes du Rhone Grenache Syrah actually. Should improve over the short to medium term.

Fantastic VM saving of $2/bottle on that one.....haha.

Must be the least discounted wine of all times on Vinomofo!!
4.67% discount and all SOLD OUT in under 1 hour!!
Must be some wine.

I thought the reverse would be better. What do I know. ;)

Seems there are now too many VIM's. They need to raise the criteria for entry.
