Vinomofo Wine Deals

Salvation Case 19 has landed - each dozen contains one 96pt red!‏

$130.

The last one of these I got was around number 6.

Looking to try something that I might not normally buy, so I'm in!

The 96 pointer is probably the Hewitson Mother Vine (price and rating match), which is on offer now.
Have you received the order? Is it Mother Vine?

My Glenlofty Shiraz Viognier Rocked up today, and I have to thank those that recommended it! It is different to what I have been used to (although I may have never had Viognier before) but I really like it! bargain for the price! I was almost put off by the 2011 Cabernet that I got from Glenlofty, but I am very happy I gave them another go! Cheers!
I'm quietly hoping that whatever the big deal is coming out today is either not as great as they are beating up about it, or way out of my price range... I've just paid off my credit card out of my fortnightly pay, and it looks like I'm going to be spending $4-500 on textbooks for uni this semester....

Cracked a bottle of this the other night. Was not sold on it at all unfortunately. Considering sending it back or making it the gravy wine. What a shame.

You bought Salvation XIX?
What's in it?
Other than the Headliner (Mother Vine this time so it seems), it varies from case to case.

I've ordered one, so can post up what I get as an example when it arrives if you like.

I've ordered a couple before and found them decent enough and a good way to keep a few different things in the "drink now" fridge to cater to different tastes. At $11.60/bottle including shipping it also give me something to give the MIL that is better than what she usually drinks, but keeps her away from my good stuff!

For anyone who may not have noticed, VinoMofo have increased referrals from $25 to $50 per person. They've also listed out WHO you refer, and you now need to click on Account (top right) to see how many credits you have. It doesn't look like a limited offer, though it might be a good time to refer 'loved ones' from your own accounts who haven't ordered yet!

Since I had the very post in the referral section about VinoMofo, I've created a new one - for those of you who haven't already made first orders, it's here if you need it to start your wine buying addiction with $50. :)

Cheers!

Now confirmed that the referral increase from $25 to $50 expires 31 August.

Based on other comments I've read, give it (Glenlofty SV) a day or so after opening, and try again. Didn't buy it myself, so this is not my personal opinion.

Did you give it some air? Makes a big difference. I give it around 3+ hrs usually.

I would agree with this. I've had a couple of them now and still a bargain for $8, but wouldn't buy it again.

Didn't try the SV but I did jump in and buy a couple of cases of the 2012 Shiraz - beautiful!

Today's Barossa is the Hewitson Mother Vine Shiraz again? 2013 instead of 2012 this time?
I've tried the 2012 Mother Vine, liked it a lot and put the rest in the cellar.
Also tasted the 2013 last week alongside a 2013 Grant Burge Filsell as way of comparison. Both cost similar money with current discounting. The 2013 MV had excellent bright fruit and was surprisingly drinkable now. Possibly even better than the 2012. The 2013 Filsell was more oak dominant but not over- bearingly so. Recommend both these wines:D.
