I got the same. Pondering this one...
EDIT: From Crackawines search, Jeremy Oliver said the following about this vintage:
Pleasingly intense small berry and plum-like fruit and firmish, chalky tannin are simply hammered by meaty, mocha and smoky ashtray-like oak that inflicts a raw, menthol-like choc-mint aspect to this wine. It's entirely the wrong choice of oak for this fruit, within which the wine was kept for way too long.
