Vinomofo Wine Deals

First time poster long term reader. Great thread guys

Usually I'm pretty good at guessing the the black markets but todays shiraz has me stumped. Possibly a Wirra Wirra RSW but i doubt it. VM has beaten me!!

Possibly the Mitolo Cantiniere Shiraz 2013 - is $68, 500 cases made, no JH rating that I can see.

Fairly confident, definitely Mitolo.
They only had 15 cases left about 10 minutes ago acc. to my broker, but may be able to get more.

I hope so, I'm in for a sixer. I remember Huon rating the 2013 Mitolo Angela well. Last Mitolo I had was the Jester and it wasn't crash hot.

Thanks RB. It's got a good write up on the Fo (and also the Mitolo website - if that is the correct wine), and at $20 a bottle, is a must punt. BOOM - less cases left!!

Yeah, I've not noticed this particualr wine before, Mitolo do a few wines for Woolies, not sure if this is one of those, probably not. The Mitolo The Furies Shiraz 2012 that was on Cellarmasters is another good one, RRP $58, 97pts JH (FWIW), usual price $39.99, $28 when they had 20%off. Not on their site currently though.

I'm on board as well. With credits i couldn't resist!

Lets wait and see!

Also just opened my first bottle of Pertringa rifle and hunt last night and really enjoyed it. Will see how it is drinking tonight. Definitely a keeper though!
. very hard not to hit the buy button......great value on offer, sometimes the six pack overdelivers and this should be the case for this case .

Grrr - it's not processing my order! I suspect it's because I'm in Kyoto atm... Wozza how did you get around the issue with your recent order from Fiji again?

ETA - issue resolved via my incredibly responsive broker. Top mark for service from the 'Fo!

I didn't Katy. I missed out on that deal when in Fiji. Which means I should have used my broker like you did! Definitely not as clever as you, and just goes to show, the ladies have more common sense...!!

VM got me hooked on Mitolo after tasting their 2010 GAM at a mate's place. That's when I signed up to VM and got two of their 2010 GAM in a welcome case.... This looks like a new drop, no prior vintages produced. Their Malbec was a decent drop and a 2007 Savitar I've picked up was outstanding.

Without tasting it, I'd say this is a steal at the price and will be a welcome addition to an already bursting wine fridge.

Mitolo Cantiniere

Just a few thoughts. I am in the "Bulls rush" as well.
The Mitolo flagship is Savitar which can be had for $30 from rrp $80 (vintage 2007) not too long ago.
This new Cantiniere is thus not flagship (rrp $68).
The Cantiniere is made from the Chinese block (GAM $58) and Sandra's Block (Angela $35).
The sum is greater than the individual blocks. Is that logical?

Have been seeing a few special editions/releases from 5 stars producers listing on Vinomofo soon after release and
"sold out" on producers own site.
Examples:Haselgrove special release batch 187, Fox Gordon 8 Uncles Tempranillo.
As I mentioned before is this a new "method" on Vinomofo collaboration labels.

Producers release a special edition for VM and sold only through VM and "sold out" on their sites.
In this way no harm done to their mail order clients.

Hard to resist this Mitolo when everyone here is running pretty hot on it. Add to that the general paucity of good deals on premium wines on VM of late and two very welcome sets of referral credits means I'm in. Have not had a Mitolo before but feel like this one should deliver something pretty decent.
