Vinomofo Wine Deals

Being away from home my memory is a bit sketchy, but I had a penley reserve something recently, pretty sure the six pack of cab......i was disappointed in the first bot. I have held off on my refund winge as I would like to try a second bot.....i think it was cork closed, prob export stuff, but it had a mustiness odor that put me off.......it was not one of those that the second glass comes quickly. I think it had the cohunas, and the berries, but that mustyness needs another assessment......any others care to comment as requested..

Anybody had 2012 Penley Estate Reserve Cab Sav? Any reports pls?

Beefarmer, I think you bought yours at the same time as me, back towards the end of November. That was the 2010 vintage, not the 2012. I'm not even sure if the 2012 vintage has been released yet. There is certainly nothing about it on the Penley website. They still have the 2010 listed as the current vintage. I don't recall seeing anything on VinoMofo about it.

I am hoping to try the 2010 soon, so I'll try and remember to report back once I have.

Sounds too oaky and in need of some serious lay up for me:

Ray Jordan: "Striking and awesome cabernet of power and elegance. Leafy blackcurrant aromas with plenty of oak influence evident. Ripe and firmish tannins with fine-grained oak weave perfectly into the concentrated cabernet fruit. Has a grainy edge to it. Classic in structure and design with a very long finish. Structure to age for many years."

I think I will wait to see what people make of it and buy if there are any 6 packs left ...

Too late - all gone. And I was keen... sob.

My Maverick also arrived, and was delivered at 7.30am before the heat of the day so it could be safely stored inside.
