Vinomofo Wine Deals

Speculated to be 3 Oceans The Explorers. No one's confirmed it yet though.

Thanks, that's the one that made sense to me also. So 2 3 Oceans today. :D

Speaking of 3 Oceans, I did a little digging around today and found a 3 Oceans 'Grand Palandri' label on Grays Online. $9.99 per bottle. Says exclusive to them but I wonder if it's not a relabel of existing Estates wines. Alcohol % and info in description matches but not enough else to go on. Oh yeah, cork vs screwcap too - they look ready for export!

3 Oceans seems to be the latest re-incarnation of the old Palandri Wine Co which went bust about 8 years ago.

Hi all the one I'm struggling on. Is the Black Market Clare Valley Riesling 15, anyone know what it is ?

https://vinomofo.com/wines/white-wine/black-market-deal-riesling-2015-050216-3

The previously offered date is the in URL (050216 = 5th Feb 2016). I think the speculation last time is that this might be an Atlas Reisling

Edit: It might also be the O'Leary Walker Polish Hill Riesling - United Cellars claims this has a $27 RRP: http://au.unitedcellars.com/o-leary-walker-polish-hill-river-riesling-2015 but I still think it's an Atlas of some kind.

Edit2: According to RWB forum, it is Atlas Section 32 Riesling

Obviously I didn't do a spell check in the last
post

anyway I ended up buying 1 dozen each of the Clare valley 15 Riesling and the Margaret river 15 riesling

if the CV is the Atlas that will be good for me and I am pretty sure that the WA Riesling is the Willoughby Park Ironrock

will report back if I am right and more importantly what the rizzas taste like

The 2014 Willoughby Park Kalgan Ironrock was offered before at $19.90 - a bit of a bargain if the 2015 is $10.90. Also it was marketed by VM as being from "WA", rather than Margaret River specifically

2015 Margaret river Riesling, at 9% alcohol would be Churchview St Johns. I bought the 2014 and this is seriously good wine. Plenty of finesse in the manufacture, and pleasantly refreshing at the lower alcohol. Wild fermented as well made the 2014 a stunner in my eyes. As for the 2015, even though Margys had a tougher time, it should still be better than good. Churchview was a standout winery from the Fo last year with many of their wines.

Thanks Beefarmer - that looks like a lock - Churchview is a 5 star winery, whereas Willoughby Park is 5 Red stars.

I just opened a 2013 Chaffey Bros Tessellation reisling that was in my salvation case...that's an exceptional wine isn't it.

I'm not a big white drinker, but that has something. Some depth, and nice acidity, almost a sweetness with the citrus.

Might have to hunt a case of this down.

From my searches this wasn't a black market mof_ deal, but it looks like quite an old one.

Where has the one and only Dr Sammy Lee gone to ? Now, you did mention that you get out and enjoy a wine evening every now and again. Had any interesting vinos? What's been your favourite red or white in the last 4 weeks?

Are you asking about the 2013? If so, I found it nice enough, but it just seemed a little "nothing" tasting to me (I'm not the Chardy drinker in the household, so I haven't had much of it). I doubt anyone here's tried the 2015 yet.
