Vinomofo Wine Deals

I have returned a case that had less than the 5/6 or 10/12 and they reimbursed the number of bottles returned rather than the full case amount

I have also wondered how much of the case you need to return...

I got that Better Half Pinot which I really don't like, but it took me 4 bottles to realise I hated it, as I gave a few of them out at dinners etc. So I have half a case left which I will probably never drink. Do they refund based on the price per bottle returned?

My understanding was you must return at least 10 of 12 - they allow a second bottle just so you can be sure. In my case, I can return 11, but they were purchased many months ago - Chardonnay that gf liked and I disliked, but unlikely she'll drink it, so I figure return it and get something I might drink!

Suggest you call them and see what they might do. Eg they might take back 6 and refund half, or something similar. Do let us know how you go.

That vertical Tahblik Marsanne has finally showed up (via VIM email). $99 for 2010-2015 inclusive.
You can join Tahbilk Wine Club for free and get a $25 discount voucher on first purchase. (Takes 4 or 5 days for letter to arrive but on sale till end of March - they will extend voucher expiry on request) Feb/Mar 2016 Newsletter - Tahbilk Marsanne Vertical So 2 each of the same verticals (12) for $150 (plus Free Delivery - $12.50 a bottle). Much Cheaper than VM which is not really a good deal. If already in Wine Club still $34 delivered cheaper than VM if you can do with a dozen. The 2015 I think is the pick of them (If WF Member (read Comments on the 2014 and 2015 - http://www.winefront.com.au/search/...=rated&orderdir=desc&submitButton=Search&c=50) and $12.35 in any six at Dans https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_20278/tahbilk-marsanne Can always mix with a 2006/2007 1927 Vines for $1 more than VM 6 Pack price https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_339333/tahbilk-1927-marsanne

Hi all, I see the Pertaringa Shiraz Mataro 2014 is up again. Did anyone get this and what were your thoughts?

So no one replied but I got this anyway. Took a bottle round to a friends last night and it was pretty good. Very tight but with pretty good depth of flavour. Could have done with some air or a day open but it didn't get that opportunity. Unfortunately it wasn't analysis time, but I would say definitely worth the $$.

Very tempted by the Grove Estate Shiraz Viognier on offer. Anyone tried this wine? Was trying to have a purchase free March, 3 days in and I'm already questioning that decision!

Very tempted! The Halliday reviews on the last few vintages are good.

Also interested. Halliday review of 2012 is a 90, though that year was a pretty bad one for hilltops. Much better things expected of 2014 vintage, from memory. If anyone is interested in going thirds ( possibly halves) on a case of the Grove Estate SV and are in Sydney, I'd be up for it.

I'm in Sydney and I could go 4 bottles (6 if my arm is twisted).

I'll happily extend this offer to anyone in Brisbane...

So an update on this - they accepted that 5 bottles is enough to do a return, and are in the process of organising it to be picked up in the coming week.

I then get either a refund of the 5 bottles or a credit on my account for the value of the 5 bottles.

Very surprised, but very happy with that.

Charlie I agree. The nebbiolo is also great. Apart from the '09 which was on mof_, '10 was fantastic, '13 even better.
I have a few of the S/V as well from various years. I'd venture anything from '14 that Tim has made would be hard to go wrong with.
