Vinomofo Wine Deals

Not sure Vivino scores are super reliable per say (no offence to individual users), but as there isn't a confirmed empirical scale, it seems to me than 4 is about the average.

Hi everyone,

I joined not too long ago when I came across this thread. Definitely very useful information. Thanks to all who've contributed to this and shared with the greater wine community!

Anyway just wanted to say hi and thanks.

Cheers

Hello

Before i get complaints i did search Yarra Valley Sparking NV $35 - no cigar

Any ideas? https://vinomofo.com/wines/sparkling/black-market-yarra-valley-sparkling-nv
. unfortunately, this has me beat as well. But as a Vinomofo exercise, if the potential new wine tax comes in after being mentioned for this years federal boozhay in may, how would this affect the ten dollar cheapies we get spolit with here at VM? talk is an extra four bucks on a mid twenties wine. just another revenue earner I suggest.

I'm wondering if it might be this one: NV CHARDONNAY & PINOT NOIR | Better Half Wines - is a Chardonnay/Pinot blend, and uses fruit from Langbrook, which did supply grapes for Domaine Chandon. Price is off though ($30/dozen vs. $35 on VM site - can't see single bottle pricing on their website).

Edit: Alcohol, TA and pH match exactly with: http://www.betterhalfwines.com.au/downloads/NV Better Half Chardonnay Pinot Noir.pdf

So many VIM deals are showing up on the regular page....I cant remember the last time I purchased a VIM deal. Pricing hasn't really been all that fantastic imo.

Have you tried logging in with a non-VIM account? Maybe the offers you see are now tied to your status (VIM or non-VIM) when you login?

am I throwing my money away. Surely not for $8.90 a pop (minus a $25 voucher!). We'll see what else takes my fancy until it comes back up.... :)

I tried the one bottle I got in a mixed case. I'm not impressed with how it tastes today - too young, too fruity. Wife didn't like it either. I'll keep a half-bottle for tomorrow to see if it develops some, but I think this is something that really need a bit more age before it'll taste decent.

To be honest, I think there's better things you can spend your money on (Glenlofty, Maverick) at that price point. For a few bucks more there's the Haselgrove Cul Stor, various Pertaringa wines, Grove Estate Partners reserve offered recently - I can't vouch for any of those, but they have better reviews from what I can see online.
