Vinomofo Wine Deals

Has anyone received their latest Maverick GSM 2012?

I just received mine, and very strange it is missing labels off the bottles...might be why they ended up with a small restock as they couldn't sell them without the labels.

EDIT: Cracking wine though :)

I just got around to trying mine and found the same thing! I bought mine via my broker so not sure VM knew the labels weren't there; that's the sort of detail he's usually pretty good at passing on...

The cases delivered to my office were also missing labels (2 recipients)

It's annoying for me because I like to read the tasting notes on the back and use the labels to remember how bloody old a wine is!

Unlikely that this will be kept for too long so I suppose I can just remember (hopefully) but I was surprised that they didn't mention it.

Was it Cruiser Elite that did the nifty job with the label printing on one of these threads?

Yes - you could print an image from Cellar Tracker or similar and stick it on (a la CE) I'm just going to use a paint pen

I'll be up for it! After all, Wozz did share his Cullen DM freely with us at the wine evening ;)

Love it! I don't like the confidence you and AC convey with the challenge and acceptance. May I qualify the hat to be eaten to a Chocolate Easter Bonnet Hat..??!! It's Easter Week after all!

Anyone who missed out on the 3 Oceans The Explorers Shiraz 2013 - and wants to get some, now would be a good time to call

I couldn't find this wine on a search in this forum, but I have done investigations and am confident it is the Star Lane Vineyard Beechworth Merlot 2010

Anyone tried it? I love merlot and am considering a case

Halliday rates it 90, drink to 2017.
"Medium red-purple; an appropriately medium-bodied wine with a complex melange of fruit, spice and oak; the flavours are in a cassis/plum spectrum, and the superfine tannins are a feature of the palate."

I removed the "do not drink for 6 months" off the hungerford hill after all this discussion and my gosh that is seriously good.

I get the pepper, but not too much, just a bit of spice on the front of the palette, it's fairly light, which is why I think I mistook it for being too young and empty previously.

Very enjoyable, and paired perfectly with an Italian sausage ragu for dinner.
