Vinomofo Wine Deals

I'm very tempted to put match to powder on this one especially at the price-point and free shipping....hmmmm

I enjoyed it! Far better than the 10 Chains I purchased at the same time :)

I'm Keen to know the Mclaren Vale Shiraz though.

2014 Shiraz $21 - $9

The $18 secret shiraz looks to be Pertaringa - over the top and I think the $45 black market is duval - eligo

I think you will find the black market shiraz if its the $120 to $45 is 3 Associates The Legend. Cheers

Hmm interesting. Details are pretty scarce and it may well be. I'm not sure I would have considered them a cult winery it's all a bit subjective in their description. Duval is more Barossa too.

Thanks for that qaz, I saw the listing last night but I guess after AC's somewhat guarded review (a grudging 91 if I remember correctly) I'm not as excited as I was initially about buying it. Phillip White's review is so glowing and ebullient that I imagined it would float most punter's boats so it will be interesting indeed to get a few more opinions in not that I'm disregarding yours! $23 isn't a princely sum but it does make a case hedge towards the $300 mark even with free shipping so the trigger's coughed but the safety's still on....

94 is the highest I've ever given anything (Torbrek Run Rig 2004, and maybe one other). 91 is at the top of my "good" bracket, with 92-93 being "excellent", and with my tastes, that usually only extends to wine that are 10+ years old, so not common for a 5 yo wine.

Has good reviews over at WineFront: Blue Poles Allouran Merlot Cabernet Franc 2011 | The Wine Front (read the comments)

I bought a 6 pack of this and sampled my first bottle the other night. It's very good indeed particularly at the price.

Merlot very prominent, Medium bodied, complex, good tannin and acidity will age very well over the next 5-10 years. Drinking well now but will be better with a few more years on the clock.

Yep I stand corrected. Looks like it may be the iii Associates. It sounds like a new deal, but an old post here indicates they've had this deal before. Bit underwhelmed now

That's certainly enlightening AC, and Beefarmer called ME a harsh marker! So a margin of 4-5 points separating heaven and hell, wow. Unfortunately I can't peruse the Wine Front material as I'm not a subscriber but Phillip White is certainly an ardent fan...
