Vinomofo Wine Deals

Receive my case of Mitolo Serpico CS 2008 today and found the closure is cork instead of screwcap in VM's description. :(

If it's a problem for you (would be for me), ask them to take it back and drink a bottle as compensation for their incompetence. I did that for the Hart Shiraz 2013 when they re-listed it as "now under screwcap" and cork-sealed arrived, got the screwcapped ones soon after.

Unless VM break their "promise".
>>mof_ Member Price Promise

Full price $50.00 from winery on September 22nd, 2016. <<

I think it's a case of splitting hairs really, I can't see anywhere a caveat that it must be the ADVERTISED price from the winery (or RRP for that matter), they could have any old s**t kicking around, as long as it's sold through the aforementioned winery then it meets the sales pitch/promise IMHO ;)

It shall be done. Cheers

I look forward to reading it Rug!

Same here. I split the case with a friend but I'll see what the other party thinks - since it wasn't my order, I'm not in a position to take it up with Vinomofo myself.

W&D - terrific site, catching up with things like V50 (% I guess, :) )which is an excellent descriptive / relevant comment in posts.

Also keen here to explore the LeBoof(Sp.) doz, haven't seen most of them before and very interested to hear your thoughts later on.

The Maverick - one day, maybe NYE.

The question on everybody's lips is what did the one under cork that you sampled taste like i.e. TCA or no TCA? (not stirring the pot just curious)

Yes it's damned good fun even when tempers get a little frayed! Sorry to mislead you re: V50 reference, another member vedder50 felt I was being overly critical of the Norfolk Rise which is probably true (it is indeed a very handy little quaffer), Oz reds are creeping up in alcohol but 50% cheers, W&D

I should explain better, apols - I thought the V50 was reference to how much wine was left in the bottle, ie 50% left in it.

Relevant to - thinking that the volume of wine left in the bottle, say overnight, will be less affected by oxidation the fuller it is.

My thoughts and happy to hear comments.

Re returns - Only returned 1 x VM purchase - "Bethany Old Vine Grenache 2012"

Sworn off Grenache ever since !!

Ahhh you can't swear off ALL Grenache based on one negative experience. There are some crackers out there, they just don't often appear on VM

Just gone shy on it WN, once bitten.................

VM cheerfully refunded, took couple of weeks but all was good.

DM's selling the 2011 at round $19, must have been vastly different to the 2012 !

Yeah I know what you mean, some of the Old Vine Barossa ones can be a bit hit and miss. Try and get a hold of some from the McLaren Vale, they are making some great Grenache! I got some Lost Buoy from another place a while ago and it was one of my "go to" wines for a lot of occasions, like Tuesday's
