Any idea on the VIM BLACK MARKET Shiraz 2013? 'Cellaring 2043' is of interest

OK, not one I've heard of, but seems to be Ansted Co. North Harcourt Vineyard Syrah 2013

Previously $18.50, now $15

...and gone

Link? No 2013 cabernet sauvignon showing for me as a black market deal.

Sorry about that, I was writing it on the fly before work, I should have included the original link but opted for the link to the NZ VM site to illustrate the wine in question, but I was guessing that most punters had already seen the email alert .

Not surprised, it was a dead-set bargain ;)

I tried this wine at a restaurant and it was fantastic. I bought 2 cases but they won’t last to 2036 that’s for sure. I also picked up a case of the Nebbiolo.
Opened one tonight.... Very pleased I got some....complex.

I came to the same conclusion regarding the identity of the wine and I'm also wondering if I should give it a boom. I'm worried that it may be too sweet for my taste.

Not sweet at all. A very nice wine. I have ordered another case.

Black Market Shiraz 2015 - Red Wine | Vinomofo Australia
Went through my notes from VM way back but earliest was 2013 and bought Mollydookers Carnival of Love 2013.
This doesn't fit the description. Interested to know. Any clues??

Appears to be Reynella Basket Pressed Shiraz 2015

Halliday note is fairly similar to their description:

Hand-picked, open-fermented with pneumatic plunging, pressed by the century-old basket press, matured in French oak (30% new). Deep but brilliant crimson-purple; takes complexity onto another level with black fruits, dark earthy notes, bitter 70% cacao chocolate, black pepper and cedary oak all held in a wickerwork of ripe, insistent tannins. This will never chuck the towel in.

Hmm, not sure im convinced. I wouldnt see 39.90 for Reynella as a bargain. DM had the 2014 recently at 29.90.

Has Halliday rated the 2015 Dead Arm? Im thinking it needs to be something more sustantial as a $70 ICON wine

I can't confirm what it is. But I agree with @chonka. I would not be buying at $39 if it is the Reynella.

There's a suggestion here that it is the Reynella:

But again if it is the Reynella it's at least $15 a bottle more than I think it's worth.

You sure it was the 2013? I have some of the 2010 I know I got from Vinomofo around 5 years ago.

Yep, that's the Reynella. I bought some of the 2008 back in 2012 like the blurb describes

It was $27 back then, $39 does seem a wee bit high

You are right it's 2010, bought Aug 2013.
I had a bottle recently. Very good. Wish I'd bought more. At least another 10 years on it. This is the type of deal I'd like to see again from vinomofo rather than the Reynella.

Wow that's not too long after VM's conception. Seems like a long time ago.
My first VM purchase was in Feb 2013 for Tapanappa Wrattonbully Shiraz 2009.

My first order was November 2012 so not far ahead of you

And that Tapanappa was a great wine, my 4th purchase and I still have a couple of bottles left. Looking back through my orders there was so much more quality on offer back then
