Good sleuthing RB, I guess there are a couple of anomalies the most glaring is the "5 red star producer" whereas Atlas has only 4.5 standard ones from JH. Might have to wait until someone purchases and reports back (probably gone by then I'm guessing)...

True re stars (was it red or just black, can't remember), they were 5 black stars in the 2018 edition, so maybe VM behind the times.

Kilikanoon isn't really "boutique".

I couldn't see any better match on the Wine Orbit site, but he can sometimes be a little slow to post reviews.

I'm not sure if any of my Forum members bought, no further posts there.

Would agree that Kilikanoon isn't in the "boutique" winery category but it wouldn't be the first time that VM has played loose and fast with the facts, I'm not desperate for more wine at the moment but might take the plunge if I was more assured of what I was getting.

Does anyone know what the 96pt Yarra Chardonnay is that went up today? I've done some Googling but can't find anything

Especially with the current large amount of wines listed on the site (197 currently on site), but at all times anyway, if you want help identifying wines provide the URL or a clear description. Just saying the Chardonnay that went up today is about as unhelpful as you can get.

Where's your local? All I see is this: View attachment 151318
These are always in store prices. Deleted lines. Stock take. Making room for the new vintage. Never advertised online. Same type of prices and stock level happen at Dan Murphys. I've detailed the locations of relevant BWS's previously. Keep a look out in store is my advice. Check multiple stores. Make friends with the sales staff and tell them what you want. Do not rely upon online prices. This wine is frequently discounted. I wouldn't pay more than $20 a bottle.

Maybe it's a NSW thing, I don't see it discounted >50% in my local. Best they do is 20% off for 6 bottles, the occassional 30% discount off an inflated price for average stuff...hence I don't actually buy there very often.

Not exclusive to NSW. I've seen it in other states as well. Check every shop you go past. 1 in 10 you'll get something great.

Just as an example at BWS, I saw this for $17 in 5 shops last week but in 1 shop it was $5:

$44 is the retail on this? Saw it at BWS for $17 earlier this week. Regularly see it under $20 at BWS.
It's a nice wine and while it may be apparently cheeper while saving on the petrol convienconv o
