Vinomofo Wine Deals

Whoops must have had a brain-fart o_O Of course Longview and Langmeil are different wineries but I somehow conflated them... I guess it must be the Zilzie after drilling down through more info online, I can't see a mention of Jane Faulkner's 90 points or the Halliday "special value" description anywhere though in relation to it and the Wine Companion gives the Langmeil 90 points from Jane Faulkner and "special value" with rrp of $20 but no mention of the CWS double gong.

A bright mid-garnet colour; it's appeal is immediate with florals, red fruits and a dash of woodsy spices. It's fleshy with ripe, plump fruit on the palate, pliable tannins and a price matched accordingly.

It is the Zilzie, one of my Forum members bought it previously and sent it back after finding it "very ordinary".

Wine Companion site has a serious data error in that when searching they use the Region of the Winery as the Region setting against the wine instead of having a separate Region value for the wine. Makes searching for some wines a little difficult.

i hated searching on the winecompanion website, not user friendly at all.

Well RB that's good to know, I think it's equally important in this forum find out whether a wine floats someone's boat or on the other hand, is very average if not bad. I still prefer the old Wine Companion site, I really don't think they have enhanced the user experience IMHO....

Have been searching for a while trying to figure out what this pinot is and haven’t had much luck. Anyone have an idea?

I've ordered under the belief that it's Pike & Joyce Rapide

I'll be curious on this one. There's a Sidewood Pinot for $25, the alcohol doesn't match though. The Riposte and Rapide are both less than $25. Would have liked a pinot for $9 with free shipping but they're all sold out. "A big name" too...

It's not the Riposte - this was done previously and was in hallidays top 100 and rated 94/100. These would have been mentioned on the post.

Heres the links for Riposte 17/18:

The Wicks estate Pinot Noir, I think.

OK wine-afficanados I'm trying to work out what this might be: Shiraz 2015 – Black Market Deal #31608 and I'm having trouble nailing it perhaps because its description is so generic/nondescript, I'm imagining it must be something from Reynella due to its ahem, "10,000 medals" but I'm clueless, anyone?

Possibly Wolf Blass "Since our inception in 1966, we have won over 10,000 awards " They have a plethora of new labels these days, could be one of those.

Aha Sidewood stablemate PN just landed as Kevviek suggested above. Likely better than expected but now sold out
