Hi redbigot,

Thanks for the reply. Looks like a good guess.

I did notice that VF says the wine is under cork, which of course is pretty unusual these days, and sure enough, it looks from the pics on the Sunshine website that they use cork. Can't say for sure, but looks that way.

Diam cork, no taint or cork flavours.

You're right! Both 2013 Yarra Valley pinot noir, but some differences. They both use a lot of the same text in the description, so maybe the cheaper one is Mandala "The Prophet"? I can't find a Sam Kim review for it though.

SK93, $60 -> $21, ??

JH94, $60 -> $25, Mandala "The Matriarch"
Just arrived, it is the prophet.

VinoMofo is part of eBay sale, 15% off atm. Does anyone recommend any? I'm eBay PLUS so free postage too! Lots of Black Market deals, they always sound too good to be true!

On eBay VM adds $9 postage to their normal own site prices, so the discount is less than 15% if you qualify for free freight at VM.

I purchased the BM Tumbarumba (Hungerford Hill) and Mornington (SeaGlass) Chardonnays on eBay. Still cheaper via eBay than direct.
Return policy seems to remain the same.

I had no idea, so really no benefit in having eBay Plus or the 15% discount.

Has anyone bought their black market deals? I would be curious as to their return policy.
With eBay Plus you do get 15% off (the usual VM price + $9) (then "free postage"), so still cheaper than buying off the VM site with free freight. CashRewards on eBay for Alcohol is 4%, on VM for returning customers it is 3.5%.

Black market deals have the same (good) return policy as for the other wines offered.

They're technically not allowed to do it, should be charging separately for postage instead of absorbing it in price. If they charge shipping for non eBay Plus users, ebay Price Guarantee can be used if they are on the list of vendors, but unfortunately are not... yet. Best Price Guarantee | eBay.com.au

And yeah eBay Plus is money down the drain. Don't pay for it.

Pretty confident that Shiraz 2016 – Black Market Deal #34082 St Johns Brook Margaret River Reserve Shiraz 2016, if so, any thoughts from the punters?
I had the equivalent in the cab a few months ago and it was ok though glad I got it at the VM price. This shiraz get mixed reviews, I know Hungarian oak can add some interesting characteristics though never had it as an "oak blend" which this is suggesting. I've been undecided about this one and I guess that's why I've held off from pressing the button. Would be interested to hear from someone who's had it ... Would have like to have got the premium shiraz from a week ago but I was too slow.
