Vinomofo Wine Deals

Could be though the RRP seems a bit high. Alcohol % is correct. It'd be the white this time, previous lots have been the rose.

RRP retail is what they have quoted before. Very generous RRP I acknowledge. Closer to $15 is what I would normally expect to pay for this.

White and rose have both been on previously.

Am trying to work out what the $12 secret deal 2008 sparkling is today? Perhaps Yellowglen Perle? RRP $30...
I haven't looked but there's a good chance. It's been on MANY times before.

While I agree that is likely to be what it is - it is $1/bottle more this time and they are claiming it is "without question the best Sparkling deal to hit Vinomofo in a long time....... " is the '08 vintage a standout over the '06 they have been selling?

Have a look here:

Sparkling Line Up - Mixed Case

The 2008 Yelloglen Brut was part of the mixed back they offered (which I purchased). Note that the Halliday scores do not match. That is, 92 pts on the linked URL, 94 pts from the URL from today. This alone isn't enough to suggest that the items are not the same, as Vinomofo make mistakes like this all the time.

Note also that the 2006 was the Rose.

I've no doubt that it's the Brut previously offered.

I've never seen it sold for $30, usually $25ish. But then, I always preferred the Rose so I dont pay that much attention. And that sold for $11 last time.

Would have to be Sandalford Estate Reserve. Although cant see it on VIM site either.

Yes I think you might be right. Pass.

I was sent the VIM email yesterday, this and a Mclaren 2012 Shiraz were featured. The shiraz sold out pretty quick.

Wine Companion members make sure you check your emails for Wine Companion mof_ code. Gives you $25 bucks cred. And if like me you have a few email addresses or buy under the missus' name too, you can get the invited $25 cred too. So $50 off for the one transaction. Happy Days.

I think Sandalford is correct, but I sat this one out - trying to be "sensible" for a month or two.

+1 for me. Also arrived today. Doubt I will cellar it for up to 10 years though, 2 or 3 maybe as it is young.
What about you blackcat20?
Not sure. We have a couple of bottles of 2013 to try first. A few years maybe...
